I'd feel despair. It's ridiculous, our squad needed strengthening even WITH Fabregas, Eboue, Clichy and Nasri in the team so without them... We actually do need 5 signings.
Ditto Don't have to wait for September 1 because we're hemorrhaging so badly now. I cannot see Arsene addressing the issue in double quick time. He has had such a long period over which to do something but has either not bought as in January or bought insufficiently thus far this summer. He keeps scouring the earth for inexpensive players with future potential, forgetting that the present needs require his attention. We can't go on like this and Arsene doesn't seem to be able do anything about it.
I wouldn't be too bothered. All our problems are based on injuries and suspensions. We've still got quality players to come back, and we have some talented youths pushing through. It wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't sign anyone.
At the moment, we just need players. Anyone would do. Evenrecalling denilson from loan, just until the injury wave has ended.
Wenger has clearly watched the kid in training and has seen that he is what he is, a 17 year old kid. We can't and won't use him now.
