What currency would they use? If they stayed with the pound, wouldn't the BoE still dictate interest rates etc? Would they consider going with the Euro and have to obey all the rules that come with that? Is this the independence that their politicians envisage?
Salmond has stated that Scotland would initially stick with the Pound. A further referendum would be needed to join the Euro.
The official currency of the UK is the Bank of England Pound Sterling, technically, Bank of Scotland notes aren't legal tender abroad or down south etc, although I'm the first person to say to our Pakistani cousins that the Scottish notes say "Pound Sterling" on them etc, but...it means **** all.
We should give them independence then brand the Scottish as terrorists, steam in with the military taking their oil, gas whisky and shortbread....
Give the English their independence then watch them crash and burn as sales of bowler hats and Earl Gray tea plummet.
Climate change = less water in England = a fall in umbrella sales. Climate change = more rain in Scotland = selling water to you English. In short, we'll own you
Well seeing as the oil's run out, and the Japanese now make Whisky, you'll have to sell us something. And as none of you c***s drink water, it might as well be that.
Just to quell a potential **** storm with regards the extremely volatile Bowler hat market, sales Scotland are very high due to the proliferance of Religious bigots. That is the kind of ill informed scare-mongering that could potentially destroy any bid for Scottish independence ST......shame on you......*shakes head*....shame on you.
Corect buddy. The SNP want to have their cake and eat it. One way or the other Salmond - make your ****in mind up and stop hedging your bets otherwise people will think "well maybe they will just hedge their bets all the time and not actually make a decision". Anyone that allowed £450M to be spent on something unnecessary instead of on health and education should not be trusted. SNP are no better than the parties they decry.
