... then i will genuinely shave my testicles with a cheese grater. Anyone else going to voice their opinions with such actions?
Is that instead of going to the game? That being a cheaper and warmer way to endure the same suffering you'd have if you went to the match? Otherwise I don't see the point, it's just rubbbing salt in the wound to do both.
Why the hate for Schwarzer and love for Hamer - did Schwarzer sleep with your missus and Hamer save your dog's life or something? If he was chosen over Schmeichal I would be pissed but Hamer is the backup and hasn't done anything to change that for me with the chances he had. So NP decides to add an absolute bucketload of experience to our defense - why is that a bad thing?
Personally I wouldn't ... not on this season's showings - Hamer has looked far more solid than Kasper did and as somebody else wrote, it was beginning to feel like Hamer had earned the respect of the defence ... certainly I felt less like ****ting myself everytime an opposition player put the ball anywhere towards our 6 yard box ... ... and personally I've got nothing against Schwarzer ... he's a fine keeper ... but I don't think Hamer did anything that justified dropping him (as opposed to resting him for a cup game) ... just my opinion of course ... but Nigel does appear to have rather inconsistent criteria for leaving players out on occasion...
I agree with BigFox in the sense that Hamer was always signed as back-up. With Kasper out for... however long it is, Pearson clearly thinks we need a new "No. 1". Is it a bit harsh on Hamer? Maybe. It's also harsh on Moore, Knockaert, Wood and, at the minute, Konchesky. When you have a lot of options, decent players miss out. This is something we should be commending the management team on, not holding against them.
In my opinion from what we have seen so far Hamer is far better - maybe i went a bit too far though and should leave the greese grater for now...
Hamer may have been signed as back up keeper by Pearson but after KS's/Defences performances after the first few games then a change needed to be made. Hamer came in and performed well himself but also, imho, the defence has looked a lot more secure with him in. It was a reasonable call to give Schwarzer game time at Spurs but Hamer should have been recalled for the Man U match. Pearson continually makes the wrong selections and must send out really mixed messages to the players.
As much as anything it's a lack of stability. Ideally you have one fit goalie performing well all season. Unfortunately due to both of the above we had to change but having already changed once, I don't know why he'd change again needlessly for te hell of it
Although a very good championship manager NP ain´t got much of a clue in the prem, his team sheets/formations prove that. We need to stay positive yes, but at the same time we need a miracle . & IF we do stay up this season, some thing big will have to happen in the transfer window or we´ll be just one of those teams that are just ´waiting to go down´ sooner or later. I´ve said it before our DEF really needs sorting out, do that & we´ll be fine. We´ve got pace, a tricky MID, good pen & free kick takers & good STR´s / finishers. All we need are points & lots of them, well more than 3 other teams anyway. p.s Hamer needs to start v Palace.
If Schwarzer doesn't start today then playing him last week made no sense. Therefore logically Nigel should pick him today. Maybe he'll try Nuge there if he can't fit him in anywhere else.
