I would think that we would probably be comfortably mid table mediocrity now. His recruitment would undoubtedly have been better and its clear that he can get some sort of tune out of players that McClaren couldn't.

What might have been.................... if only Real Madrid had bulleted him a bit sooner.

I reckon we would have been more or less safe by now also. You can see he is starting to make a difference.

He is actually thinking about picking players based on form and tactically what is best to beat the opposition. Even though he doesn't have a huge amount of options he is working with what he has got not just picking the same team every week unless forced to swap someone out due to injury.

Notice in said swap someone out. McClaren would have picked the same formation over and over no matter who we had available and just shove a square peg into a round hole. Benitez looks capable of being adaptable.

His win ratio actually suggests we'd be worse off.

I held hope of staying up and think we still can.
I wasn't too bothered with relegation as premier league isn't everything.
Now however I would be gutted to be relegated purely as I don't want to lose Rafa.
Ideally we stay in league and Rafa stays.
If we go down then so be it but hopefully Rafa stays.
If we go down and he leaves then that will be a complete kick in the balls!!

I reckon we will pick up another 7-12 points but think Sunderland will do the same unfortunately

"Serotonin levels", who writes "serotonin levels"? Seriously who writes "serotonin levels"?

What are "serotonin levels" any way?

He can't just have immediate impact. He needed time. He's won against Swansea, drawn vs City and Liverpool. His only real failure was Norwich.

Aye and even then the Norwich defeat would have been a draw if the referee had done his job properly.

The ONLY thing that would have changed if Rafa had come in January would be his wife would be pregnant
