If the lad has handed in a tranfer request to move to Sunderland then i think his mag roots may not be such of a problem. If hes stays at Swansea even till the end of the season he has a great chance of winning a cup. If it is true & we do sign him everyone of us will give the lad a chance even the doubters (me included) to prove himself i just would feel better signing him knowing he asked to leave Swansea to sign for us. I just hope we sign 3 more with him.
I have just said as much on another post mate and I too have extremely grave reservations about this whole affair. However, he will be giving a massive opportunity up to turn out at Wembley to want to come here and if he is pushing it through to get his move here, then he does deserve a chance. He ,may not get another chance (if our history is anything to go by) to play there so he is showing us something I didn't think he had. He could just as easily hang in, play at Wembley and then get his move in the summer. It a massive commitment on his behalf and one maybe the likes of myself for certain should recognise.
Nope! Lol But for the reasons given above, I am maybe thawing to the thought of giving him a chance to prove me wrong?
Now's not the time to get twitchy lads, I said last week not to expect anything before the Swansea game as MoN will be preparing for the game. He will get a striker in, probably on the last day as well. Relax, if there's one thing I've learned about Marty, he always comes good, he just likes to play with us for a bit. KTF
"If he comes and says he wants to leave and there's a very good offer we'll have to look into it," said Laudrup Translates as: "He wants away, we are going to sell, we just want the best price possible"
This I agree with. He will have a medical after tomorrows game. Thereafter it's just a matter of Swansea holding out for as much cash as they can get for the lad. They also know we pay for players too so they are currently in the driving seat on this one.
