Just a random thought, but what do you think we would have accomplished 2007-2013 if Jose had stayed at Chelsea? Do you think United would have gotten 3 back to back unanswered titles? Would we have won the Champions Leaguein 2012 or before that, How many CL's and league titles do you think we would have won? I know its impossible to know for sure. But hypothetically what do you think we would have achieved? More or less than we did?
Impossible to say but I don't think as well as you might imagine. Jose I think would have got bored and it may have effected performances. He was never going to be a Fergie or Wenger and bottle trying his hand in all the best leagues in Europe. Jose believes winning titles in many different leagues is what sets you out from the best and that's why he's a living legend. Titles in 4 top leagues, 2 European cups with different clubs etc. He would have wanted to leave eventually. Now we have him back home after he's done his travels. I certainly think we'd have bettered one league title since he left though.
Great post!! PL - Not less than 5 titles. CL - Never in million years we would have missed out to manure. That is for sure!! I have huge respect for Carlo - but it is nothing great to inherit & play with Jose's team. Just ask Avram. This Real is all Jose.
The starting line up for Jose's last game at Real only included one player who started the World Club championship final last week (Benzema) although to be fair Ronaldo and Ramos must have been injured.
And Mourinho didn't sign Ronaldo, Ramos or even Benzema for that matter. Not that it takes much skill as a manager to sign players for Real Madrid. I think my mrs could work out that the likes of Ronaldo and Bale are brilliant footballers that will improve any team. It's easy to buy quality, when money is no obstacle
3rd in the table after only one window of crazy spending, which is an improvement on 7th. If we continue to spend like we did last summer, well be topping the table very soon. Money is what football is all about nowadays, the clubs that spend the most generally win the most, Chelsea supporters should understand that better than anyone
1 1 2 1 1 2 1 1 1 3 1 3 3 2 1 1 1 2 1 2 1 7 lol that 7 sticks out like a sore thumb doesnt it Impressive stats beforehand tho (Those are Uniteds finishing places in each of the PL seasons in case anyone had partaken in too much festive ale to work that out)
Impressive record, and only a dope would not concede they have been a top, top team for a bloody long time. You would also be a dope not to realise they spent like a mad woman with a Platinum Amex card for years when many other Clubs couldn't . All change now of course, but the big spenders are usually up there with the big winners, us included. What differentiates the teams among the spenders is the manager. We've got the best one, Utd might just have the next best. VG has done a fine job with an under strength squad, credit where it's due. Game on.
This ****ing forum, everythings HUGE and clunky and there are windows floating about of their own accord at the top of the screen when I scroll up and down, giving me motion sickness. Who in the **** decided to change it to this bullshit?!
This is a bit off the mark, current Real would absolutely maul Jose's Real. That Real that turned up to play United over two legs in the CL were a shadow of Carlo's Real. Not even close. Sorry but that's pretty much a fact, Carlo is also getting more out of Ronaldo than Jose did. In saying that, Chelsea would be looking at least three or 4 more titles and maybe a CL.. maybe, but just maybe Jose is never meant to win in Europe with Chelsea
