Scenario: Barnet win 2 and lose 1 of their last 3 games. Grimsby win all 3 games. Rovers win 2 and draw 1 game. All could easily happen. If it does happen, all 3 teams end level on 91 points! It will then go down to goal difference. Currently.. Barnet +43, Grimsby +33 and Rovers +30. If somehow goal difference is level as well (which I doubt) then it will be decided on goals scored. Currently.. Barnet +88, Grimsby +69 and Rovers +63. If it is by some miracle goal difference is level and goals scored is level, then its decided on who has won the most games. Currently.. Barnet +26, Grimsby +24 and Rovers 23. Then add 2 wins for Barnet, 3 wins for Grimsby and 2 wins for Rovers in the last 3 games to make 91 points each to get to this stage then it will be decided at this stage: Barnet won 28, Grimsby won 27 and Rovers won 25. So if its all level, its decided on 1) goal difference 2) number of goals scored 3) number of games won There will be a winner at this stage. However, just out of curiosity I checked what happens next if it was still level on games won. Its then decided on whoever has the better playing record against each other, so if we were level with Barnet, Barnet has a better head to head over us as both won a game each meaning 3 points each but overall they scored 3 and we got just 2. If we were level with Grimsby then we have the better head to head as we drew 1 and we won the other getting 4 points while Grimsby got just the 1 point. If somehow that was even level, then its decided by a 1 off match at a neutral ground and whoever wins that is champions! Very intersting! Imagine if all 3 clubs were level right to the very end, how would they do a 1 off match then?? And obviously the loser would end in the play offs so would have to play immediatly in that!!
