Sunderland AFC is advising supporters that in the event of a draw in Saturday's FA Cup with Budweiser Fifth Round tie, the replay date has been scheduled for Tuesday 21st February (KO 7.45pm) at the Emirates Stadium. The club apologises to supporters for the short space of time between the two games, however due to international fixtures and Arsenal's involvement in the Champions League, no alternative date could be agreed. We are getting back to the good old days when, if a cup tie was a draw, the replay was the following week. Oh how well I remember travelling back from Manchester in 1973 on Saturday night then up early on Sunday morning to get to Roker Park to start queuing before the gates opened to buy my ticket for the replay on the Wednesday night. And, as many of us know, what a night that was!
