Title says it all really, if you were manager of Sunderland, what tactics would you employ, what formation and what would be your (realistic) targets in this transfer window? We're all 'amateur' footy managers anyway so this should be a piece of piss
Do you mean to tell me we had tactics, must have missed them, I always believed our set pieces were corners and throw ins, must be the water over here, second thoughts, I dont drink water.
I would sell my best goal scorer and best young prospect then make sure everyone is injured. Alienate half the fans and get beat by my closest rivals comprehensively. Ah hold on.
If I was Brucie Targets Kieran Westwood - free, Alan Hutton - 5m, Jonny Evans - 5m, Ryan Bertrand - loan, Seb Larsson - free, Wilson Palacios - 7m, Charles N'Zogbia - 12m, David N'Gog - 3.5m, Dong-Won Ji - 800k, Roman Pavyluchenko - 9m Out Jordan Henderson - 20m (done deal), Craig Gordon - 4m, Marcos Angeleri - free Line up ----------------- Westwood ----------------- - Hutton --- Bramble ----- Evans -- Bertrand - N'Zogbia - Cattermole --- Palacios - Sessegnon ------ Pavyluchenko ------ Gyan ------------- subs: Turner, Bardsley, Mignolet, Larsson, Richardson, N'Gog, Ji backed up by Carson, Ferdinand, Liang, Elmohamady, Riveros, Malbranque, Colback, Knott, Noble and Tounkara Tactics play on the counter with N'Zogbia and Sessegnon the main men, no long ball rubbish and full backs that overlap the wingers on the attack
Tell my (fictional) daughter that all footballers have rabies and if she goes near one she'll turn into an hideous Ogre.
In pre-season, i would play 5-3-2 with Anton Ferdinand as a sweeper, if it failed miserably, then go back to 4-4-2
Oh joy. Show the ****ers how to take a throw in. (As in, pass it to an unmarked team mate.) Explain about defending corners and set pieces ( It's a lot easier to attack the ball, rather than stand and hope it bounces off you.) When defending it's a good idea to track the player running past you, as 9 times out of 10 that's where the ****ing ball is going! If you make a good pass don't stand their admiring it, move your ****ing arse and make yourself available for a return ball. (It's called passing and moving, for reference please watch these videos of Barcelona.) When attacking on set corners and free kicks. Can one of you lazy ****ers go round the back of the box? As 99% of the time thats where the bloody ball ends up. I could be here all day.
Tounkara plays for us was onloan at Oldham last year he's the big tall striker Ryan Bertrand played for the u21 last night at left back, plays for Chelsea, looked decent, getting forward at every oppertunity
I assume Bertrand would be the under 21 left back, looks to have a canny engine susceptible to the odd mistake mind but he is only young.
So it seems, but he must be on loan somewhere, as don't hear his name often. Plus didn't watch the u-21s cos it was to bloody late..
That'll be why i don't know him, only get top flight divisions here. Althouh im into MLS at the moment,
