    Hello,

I thought as racing is a bit quiet at present, we could have a thread about what you would spend £500 on in terms of betting.

So if I gave you £500 what bet/s would you put on, and why. It can be any sport either today or antepost.

Feel free to send me bank details <laugh>

£500 on Aidy Boothroyd to become the next Oxford United manager, so I've been told, Stan James offering 10's
    or
250 Lucky Dips on tonights Euro lottery, guaranteed to win the jackpot!

Well, if Ballicks is prepared to put £500 on the next Oxford manager at 10/1 I'll have £100 on that as well. With the other £400 I think:

£100 win double at Lingfield today with Mbhali 15.10 and Swivel 15.45

    and for fun,
    £1 Goliath on
    Molly Cat 14.20 Kempton
    Vice Et Vertu 14.45 Catterick
    Spirit Of Shankly 14.55 Kempton
    Mbhali 15.10 Kempton
    Swivel 15.45 Kempton
    Oleohneh 16.25 Catterick
    Southfield Theatre 16.40 Kempton
Keep To The Beat 19.30 Wolverhampton

    That's £447 so far

£3 for some extra dark McVities biscuits and tea to enjoy whilst watching the racing.

That leaves me with £50. Food has just arrived so I'll have a think on that.

    I would put 500 on a double , 1pm Lingfield Mr david - 6/4 and 3.45 Lingfield Swivel - 5/4. ( if the double wins net 2,312.50)

OK, now refreshed. For the remaining £50. Nass can you pick a horse in any race and I'll have £25 on a horse to finish in front of your selection. Pick a different horse and I'll have £25 on a horse to finish behind your selection. Winner of each bet takes all.

Being a man of questionable morals I would be straight down the brothel for a double session with all the extras, followed by a gallon of ale and the mother of all vindaloos <ok>

First leg won 7/4, so 1,375 going on 2nd leg but only at 6/5 at mo. So if out with OddDog, could be a long night out!! Too many extras too mention here.

I take it that was a no bet as the market didn't meet the criteria? Swivel only possible left -if it don't happen a success for your system!

Oh well, I looked after the monkey today and at SP returned a net profit of just over 2K. But if you want go with a treble with Lexi Hero, 8pm Wolves which at current odds, 5/4 should if winning return a profit of just over 5K. Now thats a lot of fun for OddDog but would not want to see the mess in the morning. Have a good weekend!
