If Colo does leave, who would you make captain?

As the title states: if our captain leaves, who would you give the armband to?

Also, why would you give it them?

 

It would probably go to Jonas.

 

I'd say Saylor but he's always injured. Wouldn't mind Cabaye.

 

Give it to Cabaye as he is our driving force in the middle and most of te team are French speakers.

 

Why are we assuming someone is going to leave when we've heard nothing from the horse's mouth?

 

Saylor would be a good call because he'd put his life on the line for the team.

 

I would say jonas or saylor, but jonas shouldnt be in the team ahead or marv anymore imo and saylor is injured too much he has all the passion though if his fitness was ok, ide go for tiote he has the most passion for the club outside of saylor in the starting xi

 

Cabaye

 

Saylor for me even with injuries. When he is fit alway's gives 100%

 

Tiote Could be our Drogba in terms of passion for an adopted club

Anyhow, best to get rid, you don't want another Tevez situation you don't have the cash to deal with that like City do. He won't be easy to replace but he's hardly been in decent form since Pardspew likened him to Sir Bobby Moore!

Cabaye seems the overwhelming favourite at the moment with 14 votes. Saylor second with 5. One a piece for Jonas and Cheick.

 

I don't think we have one. I'd be against it Cabaye I have to say, he's missed plenty of football and I'd like to se him perform consistently before handing him the armband. Of the current squad though he'd be the most likely. You could use it as a lure for whoever you look to bring in to replace him? Difficult one. previously I'd have thought Taylor or Jonas but one is never fit and one should not even be a likely starter.

I do think centre halfs make the best captains and also play the ideal position for it as they see the whole game set up etc.

 

Hatem Ben Arfa. Ben Arfa is the type of character who needs to be loved and needs a pat on the back. I think it would be a major confidence booster making him the captain and I think it would take his game to the next level.

 

Cabaye for me... Saylor is injured too much. Krul could be an option, but I prefer outfield players to be captain. I don't think HBA would be a good option, needs to be someone level-headed and not prone to hissy-fits!

 

Whoever is the most natural born leader of man should get the armband.

Often nowadays it's given to the player who the club are most fearful of losing as a desperate attempt to keep hold of him.
