If Chelsea finish 4th and win the CL

There would still be 3 europa spaces?

This is how it works, 5th is europa league.

FA cup winner gets a europa league place, if the FA cup winner already has booked a place in european competitions the runner up in the FA cup (so the 2nd finalist) gets this place. Liverpool have already earned their european league 3rd round qualification place by winning the carling cup. If Liverpool and Chelsea are in the final of the FA Cup Liverpool will get directly into the europea league group stages I blieve and 6th place league will go into the 3rd round qualification places, meaning games in early august I believe. Basically that is the place we're most likely to get, when we finish sixth and everton don't qualify for europe. It's basically a gruesome run of games that Fulham and Stoke have been doing in recent times.

Really we want to be 5th or not care about europa league at all and just play the squad players until we go into the group stages and start trying for it.

If Chelsea finish 5th and win the CL and we finish 4th we will miss out on CL football and go into the group stages of europa league. Now this scenario would be pretty devestating. If this happens and Everton win the FA Cup or go into the final along with Chelsea...well then it's liverpool I believe it would be tottenham in 5th or 6th to miss out on europe.

 

If the team that finish 5th win the FA cup then the cup euro place would go to the team that finish 6th in the league, so if Everton do get to the final there not guaranteed euro football

 

It's not going to happen.

 

This is wrong as both FA cup finalists get a europa league spot regardless. The reason there's a tumble effect in the league is because the FA cup finalist tend to be 2 of the top 5 most years. If Everton get into the FA cup final they are guarnteed europa league football. If Chelsea finnish 4th and win the CL it DO NOT create another europa league spot, if Chelsea win the CL and finish 5th the team that finishes 4th will only get Europa League.

 

I looked this up everton are only guaranteed a euro place if they are playing team that has qualified for the CL in the final, lets say Chelsea finish 5th and win the cup then the place would go to the 6th placed team in the league

Chelsea wont win the CL.

If we finish 5th we're guaranteed Europe, if we finish 6th we're guaranteed Europe if Liverpool beat Everton in the semis.

 

So in other words were ****ED!!!! Liverpool will lose on purpose

YES just to piss us off! trust me I'm usually right and Everton will win and we will finish 6th, therefor lose our best players and next season struggle to even remotely emulate this season.
