    I personally feel that Chris Eagles will soon be touted as the next Messi and we'll all rue the day that we besmirched him.

    Chris Eagles wasn't even that bad of a player y'know. <ok>

    Very good Championship player & he wouldn't be out of place in this league either(just not with us). <ok>

    So, a thread within a thread - who's the worst player that you've ever recommended / championed on these boards? The one that you look back in hindsight and think 'Jesus Christ, what was I thinking - I know nowt about football!' I recall being very exited about Sol Campbell coming, and was quite keen on Wes Brown joining us once upon a time...doh!

    I have to admit that I had high hopes of Cacapa... It was that whole captain of Lyon thing that gave me false illusions.
