Ian Duncan Smith has handed in his resignation over the governments planned cuts on disability benefits.. In my opinion it has nowt to do with him developing a conscience, but more to do with undermining Osborne in order to improve his mate Boris's chances of being the next leader..
Ids was a t**t is a t**t and in the future will be a t**t so as you say there is more than likely an ulterior motive behind this. Did I mention that IDS is a t**t - But he has given the tories a big kick in the gonads
I remember when every mile along a County Durham road at night, the lights shone from a different pit village. Scargill destroyed that, not Thatcher. So please don't offend me, or utterly pollute this board, with Labour Party sh*t until it reflects the original aims of Peter Lee, Kier Hardy, and our Manny. I was born and brought up to support those ideals. But I am a Conservative now. And I'll remain so until Labour stops trying to fool the public into forgetting what harm they did to us around 1980. It was not Thatcher. It was YOU. Get rid of the lies, MRRaw, and make amends for what your boys did to County Durham. I do believe you younger guys are of genuine Labour principles - at least I hope. I really do. But admit your horrific mistakes, and stop bullshitting us with trivial Party stuff.. Either you're for us or you're not. Sniping at Duncan-Smith or such-like just won't cut it.
**** you pal..it was Thatcher that destroyed our nation and the present crop of despicable twats are following in her footsteps..And for the record i am no fan of Scargill.. Don't try and tell me what i can and cannot post on here.
I didn't mean to tell you what you could or couldn't post, mate, and if it came across that way, I apologize. I was trying to tell you - formerly OUR party - why we can no longer believe you. Scargill priced us out of the international market so badly that Thatcher found it cheaper to buy coal from Germany than to dig it out of the ground. Labour caused it, and she solved it. Blair tried to tell the truth, but he hadn't her convincing conviction. A nd that's why we don't believe any more.
What the **** has a bunch of ****ing ****ers taking money from disabled people to give tax breaks to rich people got to do with things that happened in the 80's THEY ARE TORRIES ITS WHAT THEY DO Its arseholes like you that encourage these ****ers and as for being a turncoat well we all no what they are
Aye well my Granda told a different story. I was too young but my Granda, who managed Horden pit, blamed thatcher. Whoever was in power would've had to close the pits. It was more economically viable but the way it was done (according to my family members) was all down to the tories. If you believe the tories are good for this country I feel for you. They are destroying our NHS. Punishing our disabled. And all to get rid of this deficit they keep telling us is labours fault. What they don't tell you is that the reason for a massive chunk of the deficit was due to labour bailing out northern rocks **** up. Wonder how those rich people who vote Tory would've felt had labour let them lose their homes and savings?
Well that is the way I took it, so if you never meant it that way I also apologise for the outburst. For the record, Thatcher was importing a hell of a lot of coal from 3rd world countries who used child labour and little or no health and safety in order to undercut our prices...Unfortunately, that is the way the world has moved on and has became the norm in our capitalist world where a tiny minority have almost all the wealth..
Labour did let them lose their homes and savings - and every pit village along the road attests to it.
Funnily enough I remember when we had a Steel Works at Consett - I used to work there. THATCHER closed that despite the fact that they had started making a profit. IT IS AN IDEOLOGICAL THING despite what the TORRIE PRESS would try to (obviously convince you) "educate" you
Hooray for that - albeit he's a still a sorry excuse for a human being , and I wholeheartedly agree he's done this for his own interest as he obviously does not give a **** about the disabled or the disadvantaged or the poor I also hope the shambolic Universal Credit that he's wasted millions on gets kicked into touch, I hope Osborne follows suit -as this sorry excuse for a government needs to go
And the same could be said about Sunderland ship yards.. Thatcher decimated our heavy industry as part of a cold, calculated policy. The countries spirit was broken, and has never recovered properly since to this day..
What matters now, is that the UN finds him and the DWP guilty of human rights violations against the disabled and the unemployed
I have said it before on here - in 1980 Thatcher whose god was an american called Milton Freedman applied his principles regarding not supporting state industries including the steel industry. British steel industry was decimated whereas the american steel industry was supported via import taxes on steel products and so simple t**ts who believed the "must make a profit" bullshit are obviously still in evidence today I just give up sometimes
Eh? What the **** are you on about? I'm talking about the northern rock debacle from the 21st century. You seem to carry a very skewed view if you think every pit village blames labour. I lived in trimdon. Worked in fishburn and sedgefield, my Granda was a pit man and my dad was born in wingate. All pit villages and you'd be hard pushed to find one person who blamed labour. It's your opinion. Don't tell me who carries it as I know hundreds of people who don't and didn't
Quote : After the events of the strike in 1984-5, the Nottinghamshire area of the NUM was involved in a number of disputes with the National Executive Committee that led to a ballot in May on empowering the Nottingham Area Committee to disassociate from the NUM. In ballots on 18th and 19th October on joining with Nottinghamshire in a new union, the South Derbyshire area of the NUM voted in favour by 51% and the Colliery Workers and Allied Trades Association (based mostly in Durham) voted in favour by almost 100%.[2] The fact is Durham almost by 100% rejected Scargill and opted to work with Thatcher. STOP TELLING LIES! I'm on your side, RAW, but this is not the way forward.
I worked at Murton/Hawthorn/Westoe/the knack/wearmouth/derwenhaugh in the 80's as a subcontractor and I say you are talking bollocks
