Did you watched Sham Sharma on Sky news? An Asian shop owner in Wolverhampton who clearly works hard and built his business up. He expects his children to work hard for their future. His business his ruined. I guess he'd have like the army around tonight as he said the police stood watching his shop gutted by dozens of ****e....

The problem the Police have got is that idiots like the Daily Mail will crucify them if they're found to be using any violence against these people (i.e. student riots) so they're scared about what will happen to them hence this withdrawn approach. They forget about sods in the media and do what is right - the public will understand that. Where I think Cameron got it wrong is that he moved too many Police away from other areas and into London so that caused the pick-up in violence in Manchester etc. I don't think Water Cannon's are the answer because they're good for breaking up large crowds but on concentrated targets they're not that effective. If it carries on like it is I think rubber bullets should be used and if the Police can't cope then why not send the Army in. Obviously don't withdraw them from Afghanistan but the one's who are domestically based can help the Police out. I don't think it'd be embarrising for Cameron because it would sure deal with the problem. The one who comes out worse from all this is Theresa May who cut Police funding a few months back.
The cut backs has obviously caught up with us. Every person who is identified in the riots/looting etc should automatically get a 5 year prison sentence. Only problem is, our jails are full. Tell the police to shoot on sight!!! We are far too soft in this country. If the kids get hurt, then tough s**t!! You should be at home watching your own tv instead of looting them!!!! PURE SCUM!!!!!!!!
The law makes the Police look stupid. They have a baton let them use it, smack a few heads and that will put people off fighting with them. The police need to get respect off the thugs and the only way they will is through fear. Make their fear the police and they will all go home. Tonight we need to get the rubber bullets outs. That will calm the situation down massively
Or it could lead to gunwarfare? But I agree the time is coming where things like rubber bullets have to be used. And I don't think cuts are to blame, otherwise why are they attacking local shops and not the houses of parliament or council HQ's?

A generation of feral youths with all manor of issues and little or no moral guidance committing wanton violence and robbery. They do it because our society has been allowed to develop into a namby pamby nobody can be wrong, nobody can be told off. Human rights, mass immigration, political correctness, fatherless homes and so on. Tottenham was the cork that popped. This has been simmering for a decade. I say get the scum of the street.
