Two fried eggs, two sausages, grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms and beans. That is the quintessential British cooked breakfast. Served with a round of toast and steaming pot of tea. Heaven, pure heaven.
Sausages (square and/or links). A poached egg per sausage. Bacon x 4. Toast. A side of mushrooms/grilled tomato/hash brown optional. NO ****IN BEANS!
2 square sausage 2 links 4 bacon 2 tottie scone 2 fried egg 2 black pudding 1 haggis 2 fried bread fried onions & mushrooms beans tomato sauce 'ooh i cant believe you have beans/tomato sauce'
This has been done has it not? Anyway, the definitive Full English is Set Breakfast 2, cooked by a pair of Bubbles in The Broadway Caff, London N10, as follows; 2 fried eggs, 3 rashers, 2 sausage, fried tomatoes, beans, black pudding, fried slice, 2 toast, tea so hot you can barely hold the mug.
Sausage, Bacon, eggs, Black Pudding, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, hash browns and a mug of tea. Anything less and you are a ****.
Must admit last time I was in England I had the poached haddock and poaced egg. Bloody lovely it was too.
The thing I like about beans is that they are so versatile. Essential ingredient for a cooked breakfast. Ideal on a baked tattie. Lovely on toast although extricating the beans from the toaster can be a bit cumbersome. Beans - God's food.
It is nice, when I'm staying in a hotel for a few days can't face the fry every morning so that's nice if it's on menu.
