    Use this thread to put down any ideas/suggestions about The Mem and UWE stadium or any issues/concerns that you have for Brian to read and reply or take forward to the board. Understand though that some things may not be possible for Brian to comment on like confidential matters, which I am sure Brian would advise if thats the case.

    Some of you may remember a thread I made last year regarding what Brian is doing in representing us the fans. For those who didnt see it or cant remember the thread, here it is: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/128271-brian-seymour-smith-quot-moving-our-club-forward-quot

    He has been keeping the OS forum updated responding to ideas that the fans have or any issues the fans have. And after good discussions I have had with Brian recently, he has agreed to spend what little spare time he has to include our forum with his updates trying to reach as many gasheads as possible.

    Please get involved gasheads as our club have moved forward off the pitch in great strides (more than you may think) and the Rovers board really wants us fans involved in every step of the way, together as one.

    If you get in touch with brian, understand that he may not respond straight away as he is not employed by BRFC so he has his own job and family life as well as fitting in Rovers as well. So his time is well spent but he will do his best to reply as and when he can. I will also get some updates from him as well if he cant get on here himself. Also some things he obviously cant disclose about confidential info.

    I think it is great for our board and for not606 that we been able to get a club official - fans director Brian Seymour-Smith on not606, which shows we are progressing and shows the board does really care about our fans.

    :)

    Thanks to Brian and also to cjs for forging the link.
    Brian, as cjs says, you're a busy man so your contribution here is much appreciated.
    Some of us go on the OS but many don't...I'm sure you're aware of some of the reasons;
    poor accessibility, petty squabbles, people marking out their territory.
    I'm going to take time now to read your post, but thanks again and we look forward
    to hearing from you again!

    Great stuff - thanks Brian, very much appreciated from all here on Gas not606. <ok>

    As you can probably tell from looking at our threads we're well chuffed with the current direction of the club - a great turnaround from just a few months ago.

    Thanks again and keep up the good work!

    So then gasheads, the board wants our suggestions for the new stadium. Here again is Brian's requests for us to get involved to make the new stadium the fans stadium.

    Would you like us to do this on our behalf? Say we put down suggestions on here and I put them all together and send them off on behalf of all gasheads on not606.

    So lets have your suggestions :)

    I know there is already a 'buy a brick' suggestion, say for £20 you can have a brick with your name on it which will be visable.

    What ideas or suggestions do you have? Dont worry about how big or small it is. Just think if the ideas/suggestions are used. How proud will you feel?

    Over to you gasheads, put your ideas and suggestions here.

    I have already suggested something that brighton done. A web cam of the stadium being built so we can look to see the progress. Then they put it on a clip and speed it up and it looks like this...

    Good stuff CJS.

    I'd like to be able to buy a small brick/stone/plaque type thing on a predestrian approach to the UWE Stad on which I could put my late Dad's name who was a loyal Gashead. That way the club makes some dosh and I get a lasting memorial to my old man in a place he'd be proud of. Hollywood-star stylee.

    Thats a really nice thought Bluebaldee. Sorry for your loss by the way.

    I read somewhere else a touching idea about having a memorial garden at uwe for those gasheads who havent been able to make it see us get our own new stadium.

    it is great so hopefully we take advantage of it and make it worthwhile for Brian to keep coming back <ok>

    our forum is still growing and although we have over 200 members now, not many post comments. hopefully having Brian on board will change this <ok>

    I know some of us have discussed it before on older threads but this is a great chance for us to put those idea's to the club. Suprised that there hasnt been anything added apart from above.

    Brian, I think the idea of a memorial garden for late gasheads would be a brilliant idea. I would also like to see some of the club legends pictures around the stadium, to add a touch of history to the place. I know we will need to make our own history in this new place, but still would be nice to have some of the legends painted on the walls, or sketched into the walls <ok>

    <laugh>

    That's actually a good idea.

    I want the club and UWE to build a street near the ground with loads of pubs and a few takeaways cos I'm gonna miss Glos Rd <cry>

    Hi guys, so far we have only had a small amount of suggestions. Expected more really but from what I have received I have sent Kirsty the list and I have had a reply back.....

    Keep the idea's coming guys.

    Plus, where we have BSS on board who represents us fans, do you have any questions for BSS about anything. He has helped a lot of people who have issues and answered many questions. I am on very good terms with Brian so if you have questions or issues, he wants you to contact him on either twitter @BriSeymourSmith or email him at [email protected] BUT understand he may not be able to get back straight away as explained before. He is also happy for me to get your questions or issues about anything and I will pass it on to him for you. It will be best to PM on this if easier for you if you wish for it to be confidential. Any issue big or small that effects you or those around you even if its a moan/rant/suggestion/idea on anything.
