Ok no offence to anyone on here called Steve - but if you are called Steve, don't go into football management - the omens arn't good.

    Managerial casualties already this year

    Steve Bruce (sunderland)
    Steve McLaren (forest)
    Steve Eyre (rochdale)
    Steve Kean - imminent

Steve Cotterill left one failing club to another in the relegation zone of the championship.

a few in the past who have failed

Steve Coppell - best known for walking out on clubs
    Steve Ogrizovic
    Steve Staunton
Steve Wigley - our very own

I predict a good second half of the season however to Nigels Adkins, Clough and Pearson.

    COME ON YOU NIGELS.

Pearson and Adkins, two of my favourite managers :)

You could add Steve Tilson to that list. Although, he's not perhaps as high profile as other names there; he had a terrible time at Lincoln City!

Indeed, all was looking good until Ashley Grimes (on loan from Millwall) got suspended or injured (or something) plus the keeper on loan from Sunderland went back and then the Imps went on a right downer :)

Good manager though IMO, just at a club with no funds and in a location where no-=one seems to want to come to play football.

Trouble with the low end of the league. Loans can make or break most of the teams in there. One team can win the league with a couple of top notch loan signings only to be struggling to get points in the next division up when those top notch loans are no longer there. Can be a bit of a lottery.
