away.... I'm sure everyone will join me in wishing the Fifers well for the replay. Solid performance should see us throught that no bother - going to Inverness, on the other hand, would be much trickier - Strachan and O'Neill's teams were put out of cups up there as well as Barnes' team losing to ICT at home in the cup. I'm hoping for a trip to Fife and safe passage
ICT v Celtic on Sky. I feel confident that Ian Crocker wont feel the need to bring up the previous two occasions when they KO'd us. He hardly ever mentions it you know.
Did you see ict equaliser in the 93 rd min when down to 10 men , goalie fresh aired 45 yards from goal , defender stopped thinking goalie would clear , Haynes ran onto an empty net, go on ye pars!!!
The Dunfermline goal was pretty similar as well Goal of the round goes to the wee guy fae Ayr United - a corker.
Watched both those yesterday. Big Chris Smith had a mare (not for the 1st time, big man has been doing howlers like that since he was about 10!) but it was a pretty unlucky bobble to be fair. The Ayr goal was a peach. Guy didn't look like even he knew where he was dribbling to, then BAM! Finish and a half.
Actually thought the goal of the round came from Cowdenbeath v hibs game, hibs first 30 yards top corner or Cowdenbeath 2nd was a screamer as well
That wee guy showed some composure - technically, it looked like he should've taken it on his left but the touch was reminiscent of G*zz* at Wembley and the finish was cool as. Just read in the Metro today that the Beath fans were giving Fenlon dogs abuse and the polis got involved - welcome to Scotland, Paddy.
Fife is littered with these scum bags , once went to the wrong end Raith Rovers v Celtic game as a favour , I have never heard so many bigotted comments in my life, even old guys in their 70's it was a sad expierence but shows what goes on in our country
According to the Metro, "much of the abuse centred on his Irishness". Fife police said no criminal act had taken place and spoke to Fenlon at Half and Full Time. I hate to side with the Huns, but I have to be honest, if that happened at Ibrox, they would get pelted (in the press, by the polis, by us etc). Dunfermline have had several racist incidents and crowd issues this season but have escaped loads of column inches - I'm pretty sure that people outside of Scotland know nothing of the 2 (or is it 3) instances of Pars fans being done for racist conduct and the recent arrests at the Celtic game. McCoist and Lenny square up, though = News at Ten and a government summit. Oh well, with success comes notoriety, I suppose.
