.....is available for Paul Jewell, who has problems.

Ipswich are facing a midfield selection crisis.

Lee Bowyer was forced off just before half-time in Monday's 3-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest due to a groin injury and, subsequently, has been ruled out for around two to three weeks.

Jimmy Bullard missed the game altogether due to illness and faces a race against time to be declared fit to face his former employers at the KC Stadium.

Loanee Keith Andrews (hamstring) is out having returned to parent club Blackburn, although Town remain keen to strike a permanent deal for his services with his stay at an end.

Fellow midfielder Andy Drury is also cup-tied following his involvement in the competition while on loan at Crawley and striker Jason Scotland remains doubtful due to the hamstring problem that has ruled him out of Town's last two games.

However, one piece of good news for manager Paul Jewell is the return of centre-back Ibrahima Sonko after a one-match suspension.

Crikey things must be bad for the Tractor Boys if that's the "one piece of good news"

It made me laugh when one Ipswich supporter wrote that Sonko is 'a main plank in their defence', which is of course similar to what we used to call him.

Yeah he was there last season I think. Things don't look good for the Tractor Boys, we have a brilliant chance of getting into the next round i'd hate to see us piss it up.

Sonko Back for Cup Visit to Hull

Former Hull City loanee Ibrahima Sonko will return to the Blues’ backline as Town face the Tigers in the third round of the FA Cup at the KC Stadium on Saturday. Sonko, one of several ex-Hull players in Paul Jewell’s squad, is back after serving a one-match ban having reached five bookings.

He's been one their best players apparently, which probably tells you more about the rest of their team than him.

I did notice that poor Damien was getting a lot of grief on their boards.

comedy gold early in the second half, ran the ball from the box to the touchline and just ran it out, like my grandad used to do when trying to play fifa.

I couldn't understan why he did that either. Why not just welly it up the field?

Sonko won every header today though to be fair. He was never as bad as people made out, or as bd as Gardner who mostly escapes criticism.

Sonko was sh*te - muscled out of it by Mclean for our first goal - no wonder with him and DD they are struggling at the back.

Sonko was all right today, but he did make some comedy errors and I'd be deeply upset if he played again at the KC and wasn't on the opposing team.

Only really watched him in the second half as we sat in the south stand behind the goal for a change. Could make out who if anyone was to blame for first two goals, which from where we were sitting looked really well taken goals.

Good result to get some confidence back in the team. Simpson's 90 seconds were as good as any 90 second cameo could have possibly been! Controlled the ball well facing goal and played a perfect ball for Stewart to smash home!

Defence looked a bit dodgey and midfield was similar, McKenna was very good, so was McLean. Not going to sit where we did ever again, if you think the east stand has some nuggets sat in there then think again! There was a stupid gob sh ites ( with similarly stupid mates ) sat in front and behind us! One silly old bastard didn't even have his teeth in! Probably use to people knocking them out then there was the chaviest family you could believe dad and lad giving it the ****er signs all game! Knob heads eh ! Off back with the sane people in East stand lol :)
