Cardiff City starlet Ibrahim Farah seems set to be heading for managerless Northampton Town on a loan spell.

The Bluebirds’ flying winger today tweeted “might be going on loan to Northampton” which would make him the first signing of caretaker manager David Lee at Sixfields after Gary Johnson was sacked this week, following a weekend defeat at Luton Town.

Cobblers’ chairman David Cardoza said: “Now we’ve got an opportunity to move on.

There will be a few going out.

“I want 19 or 20 quality players, they will have the opportunity to bring some in and we’ll see where we go.”

It seems as though the 19-year-old Cardiff academy product is the former Chelsea defender’s first choice re-enforcement.

Won't do him any harm, if he develops great, if he doesn't well it will give the guy a chance to develop a career at a lower level, good luck to the lad <ok>

I hope he gets plenty of first team chances and does well there. It can only make him fitter and stronger for when he comes back to us. I think he has something more than our other youngsters, Ralls apart, and the experience will be good for him.
