As an alternative to the young up and coming manager, what about Ian? He's; A) unique B) pissed off with the board at Blackpool C) proven D) a reputation for playing attacking football E) entertaining F) all the things Nigel Pearson isn't
Nah he'll just over step the mark with a comment and it'll piss off the knee jerk reactionaries, like Percy, which will then set off the old "you're a sheep, i'm not i have my own opinion" debate about whether he should still be manager or not.
nor i. but yes it would be fun and i do enjoy his gung-ho tactics. still think its unlikely though. but its a funny old game.
Adam Pearson wouldn't have it. It will be someone dull like Pearson, maybe Steve McClaren but I hope to God it isn't!
You'll struggle to find someone who wouldn't take him, superb manager and it's not completely unrealistic with him being a bit pissed off at the Blackpool board at the moment. But the chances are we'll go for a manager without a club, our board don't like spending more than necessary either. Assuming NP's going that is...
Burnsey said tonight that the Allams have pissed Nigel off through penny pinching, laid off his PA, stopped back room staff having mobiles, undermining his ability to manage? Now how you can critique someone who has laid out over £45million to save the club seems odd but there you go! Perhaps Nigel couldn't accept this??
Why not have that bloke who manages a team just up the road from Blackpool. He's got loads of premier league experience, can handle the media and he has a proven track record of getting teams out of the championship. Come back Phil Brown.
Some interesting views on Radio Leicester. Seemingly the Koreans are very much hands on and have brought Korean players into the academy. They're also expecting much on the media front in order to promote the Club back home.
It was the way my dog shivered as I typed it. How do you reckon Nige will get on with them if they're hands on and wanting to push the media side of htings back home Thaid to a new Korea?
It'll be interesting. This is why Sven was ideal for them, he's used to working within a media circus environment. I assume that the VERY first thing Pearson would have asked for was full control of the team and signings. Could still be a stumbling block...it's not a done deal yet.
Oh I really really really hope we get Holloway now you've shown your colours on this front It would be really funny and we could all take more pleasure from your suffering
Regarding the deal bit, our board have a history, if people look elsewhere they tend to get moved on. Nige may as well take what's on offer from Leicester. Are the board very hands on? I really can't see NP liking that at all, especially the media side. As you say, it'll be interesting, but NP's just had a lottery win.
