Hopefully he's more Coutinho and less Borini if you know what I mean. Downing's spot is certainly up for grabs and I'd welcome a pacy tricky player who works hard to slot in there. Like I said though, I know next to nothing about the lad so hopefully he fits the bill.
So an attacker who can play wide or as a striker - sounds like a BR type of player. That article basically describes a player in the mould of Suarez or Tevez, which isn't a bad thing at all as long as it can be controlled. Who knows. £7.7mill for a player I've never heard of...
So if this is done and you are to believe the other reports, our first few signings could be. Toure, Aspas, Papa, and Atsu. Thoughts?
Would be happy with first three + a big signing. Happy to see us get business done early, give them a good preseason with us and to get them fit and ready for the new season. I'd love Papa to come but I very much doubt we'll be the only club in for him. Not seen Atsu play either, but things are looking very promising and it makes a change to be linked with exciting players rather than players like Williams.
Still would like to see the Diame, Mulumbu, Capoune type of plyer linked but know they probably don't fit BR and what he wants. Atsu could be a cracking player, think it is more potential with him. Aspas feels like right now player along with Toure.
Definitely happy to see some 'right now players' if I'm honest. I'd love either Mulumbu or Diame to join, it would give our midfield a whole different dimension, doubt it'll ever happen though but I'd be very happy to be proven wrong I'd love to see Cardozo join personally, but again, doubt it'll ever happen. This Summer has started bright though, if rumors are to be believed we could have Toure, Papa and Aspas all wrapped up before the window has even opened
Agree on all, but with Aspas think that is it for the Cardozo, Gameiro, etc. Ya good to see move early and at the moment it looks like with those 3 players we have hit the 20 mil mark. Now with sales ( Carroll, Skrtel, Pepe??) Do we use that for one big name player ( Eriksen?). Interesting indeed.
Think Aspas could be our next Luis Garcia, unknown but once he is with us will become much more influential and seen more in the footy world. Do like the fact we have signed a spanish player, should help with teh chemistry of the team, especially with Suarez, COutinho, JE, Pepe ( ifhe is still here), etc.

who is the keeper we are looking at to replace Pepe? heard Begovic and £15 mill quoted, is he still our target or we have others?
Begovic is the name that is being thrown around but 15 mil is too much. Think you could go for a mignolet at easily half that and be OK.
