For the past 18 months or more I have wondered what John Terry is good for. TBH I think he is a disgrace and he shouldn't ever pull an England shirt on again not alone a captains arm band but finally some good has come out of him... Capello has resigned over him and we might have a decent England manager at long last

Wasn't Venables found guilty and unless I am wrong a jury found Redknapp innocent so a bit of a difference there. On another note a shame the HMRC wasted 10 million in an attempt to gain tax on 100k...

Dunno. I don't pay that much attention to English fitba. As I remember it El Tel 'resigned' before he got the push. Canny remember him getting convicted of anything.

Venables - Was disqualified by the high court from acting as a company director for seven years under section 8 of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 for mismanagement of four companies – The case was brought by the Department of Trade and Industry who cited instances of bribery, lying, deception, manipulation of accounts and taking money that should have been given to creditors.

Redknapp - The trial began at Southwark Crown Court on 23 January 2012. He was found not guilty on both counts on 8 February.

No, 'arry wasn't found innocent at all, he was found not guilty, there is a BIG difference.
Everyone with a brain realises both 'arry and Milan are 100% guilty, sadly though they both backed each others lie and as we need proof to find someone gulity (unless they're poor) and they weren't going to admit the truth, they got away with defrauding the state of a lot of money and we all lose out.

Experts said this case should never have been taken to Court that Redknapp was going to win, the tax on £100k is how much, 40% maybe? You moan that we all lose out a lot of money, nowhere near the £10 million it has now cost.

I am not taking sides here, just saying that common sense somewhere should have taken over.

I agree with that 100%, it doesn't take a genius to realise that without viable evidence you're looking at one of the accused to admit their guilt and what are the chances of that happening?
