has had a soft spot for the mags... If you ever wondered what a textbook plastic homer set of decisions looked like, you have them in all their glory tonight.
If that was a penalty then the game of football is ****ed. That it was AND a sending off is nothing short of a total disgrace. They look like spunking another lucky 90 mins here.
the difference between our luck and theres is ridiculous.... we get **** all and it just seems to drip off them to be fair to wigan tho there still out playing them.
Getting my arsed kicked at fifa as usual, sounds like a feast of football? Just read match report, shocking!
Can't be arsed to watch them or read the match reports. SO I will just accept the truth of your statements lads. But haway? Newcastle and lucky in the same sentence?
You could even hear the ironic cheers from the fans when the penalty was awarded! "We've done well here" sort of cheers... Then when the red card was issued the cheers were like "Xmas has come early tonight". Laughable.
Yes Newcastle have had lots of luck this season... injury free, all decisions going our way and refs favouring us in every game. Its funny what you see with a partizan mindset. It looked a soft penalty, though most of the commentators seem to think it was the correct decision. The sending off is a travesty though, but I'll take it. Wigan are a team who are gash in half their games and magic for the other half so its fair to say we were concerned!
Gary Neville just said it wasn't? Which 'commentators are you listening too? Radio Newcastle? They won't be biased will they? You have carried a shot load of luck with hand ball goals; goals that were off side etc and yet you're still ****e and struggling. As for injuries. are you the only club with the, as well?
A few commentators, even Phil Brown (who hates us) says he thought the penalty was punishment enough (and i agree, the red card was silly). Yes I am capable of knowing that local commentators are biased, I live in Liverpool though and never listen to north-east commentaries. It was soft though, but we've had soft decisions against us as well. We have been terrible this year, no doubt about it. Our injury list has been lengthy, we're not the only ones with injuries but we have the most (http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php) and they're mostly first team players.
What channel is that useless tosser Brown commentating on like? I'll take Gary '85 caps for England/400 games for Utd/won countless trophies' Neville's take on it over the tanned titwank that is Phil Brown. Gazza said not a penalty as well. Does for me.
Like i say it was 'soft'. Generally wouldn't be given and i'm not happy when ones like that are given against us. I've had a look around and will change my 'most' to 'some' of the commentators, though what i think everyone agrees on is that the number of people who thought it was a sending of is counting as 1 so far... I quite like Gary Neville as a commentator, though i always kind of liked him as a player. ps. 2-0 up at home against 10 men of Wigan and we're still possibly the second best team playing. I sense this is not a season i will be looking back on with pride.
Completely outplayed for the 2nd half, but 3-0 it is. Good old Mike Jones, representative of the football association. Pats on the back all round along a few spilled beers and a donner kebab in the bigg market.
Not going to argue about us being poor. Noticed on physioroom that it says Fletcher is out for an unknown length of time, i thought it was just a little knock? Does anyone have information on that I've not seen? Don't think I'm being controversial suggesting you need him in the way we need Demba Ba (god knows what we'll do in January, probably just lose lots).
Without Fletcher mate we would be that far up **** creek that no amount of paddles would shift us. We would need Ex-Lax!!!!! Not sure how long he is out to be honest but hopefully its not too long, if at all. Think he is having a scan today.
This result Newcastle had tonight is the sort of result that changes the whole season. I'd expect Newcastle to grab a few more draws where you otherwise would have been beaten and finish a comfortable mid-table.
Well I hope he's not out for long, don't think you'd go down either way but its not pretty being down there in a couple of months. Sometimes teams adapt and find a way of playing anyway (we only scored through Demba Ba until Jan last year and then he dried up but others came through instead), but sometimes teams don't find that way. From what i heard after it happened it was reported as being a niggle i think, guess they'll know after the scan.
