Today was an exercise in sheer effort and determination over expectation. We worked bloody hard for that win and fully deserved it. Pity Mancini the ****wit couldn't have the decency to acknowledge that fact. Yes they could have scored but then they are the champions and have £billions behind them and we could and should have scored more and had much the better chances. If we can play to even 75% of that performance a comfortable top 10 or even better beckons.
Missed watching the game on line but reading it up we deserved something. Belief is coming back to the players and fans and that is a mighty combination. MON has never a mega-star team builder but the lads have showed signs of being the battlers that Sunderland fans have admired in the past. Players doing it for the supporters and vice versa. Getting that "bring it on" feeling.
