To be honest I don't see the problem no ones compelled to post on any given thread regardless of its theme or content.

I didn't post on that thread either does that make me a bad person? At the end of the day I see both points but someone hand wringing over someone they didn't know won't bring them back from the dead either.

Personally I don't see the need to pick a fight over this, it'd be different if someone posted something nasty on the thread but being picky over a lack of posting seems a touch precious. No offence intended.

I am inclined to agree with Yorkie under these circumstances. I do not see why he should have any "real" feelings either way about someone he has never heard of.

Yes it's sad he has never heard of him but if he is young enough and/or doesn't actually follow football outside his own club (and there are many like that around) then I do not see what the fuss is about tbh.

 

In fact I would go as far as to say that if we spent our lives offering condolences etc to people we do not know, nothing else would ever happen in any given day. These boards on Not606 alone would be full of visitors to every RIP thread for every footballer than has passed away for whatever reason.

I just didnt like the tone of Hampy's post.

I guess some of us have a high level of knowledge of other club's history and we expect that other club's fans have as well.

 

i think yorkie was being a bit of a prick - i think he fully well knows who he is and what he meant to norwich fans. however, i agree with the others with their respective views in general on paying respects, i just think he is being deliberately abrasive to wind you up. i think he's succeeded. as i say, he's was being a prick. just my opinion.
