It first crossed my mind following Diame's comments about Wigan (true or not) and now since we've signed two players from Milan and Paris I thought I'd raise the issue.

I would love to know what our players think about the city of Sunderland? Or the North East in general?

I would say the only difference between Wigan and Sunderland is the population. I haven't been to the centre of Wigan but our city centre isn't exactly large and certainly not glamourous. I am amazed that comments similar to Diame's have never been made about Sunderland. (I could be wrong)

Does anybody know where any of our players reside? Just curious :cheesy:
 
I know the standard of the area will come into consideration when players move to clubs but hopefully they mainly move for footballing reasons and not that there is a Prada shop round the corner.
 
Yeah Hannibal, Bruce said that Beckham joked it was either Sunderland and Primark or Milan and Prada. It is probably how a lot of top class players regard the North East but I am delighted with our two signings today :)

I just hope they dont get a shock, arriving from top class cities to sunny Sunderland!
