Well ive took the day off today, finished my as level exams so didnt see the point in going in, and havent really done much bar listened too this delusional mag in the shop about how Sunderland should be embarrased about finishing 1 point above Newcastle and ive had a couple of races on F1 on the plastation. So i was wondering, what was your first season ticket game; mine was just after the 19 point season, we were at home, second game in against Millwall. We lost 1-0 Gifton Noel Whelen scored a goalmouth scramble about 5 minutes into the game and i think there was about 24000 there (weve come along way since then) it was a terrible game and i wonder if we would have been in this situation if quinny didnt step in when he did. Anyway; what was your first season ticket game?
1973..... 1974 season after we won the cup seat in the clock stand 15£ per season previously i have stood all over the ground mostly in the roker end and for many years gained entry though the roker bingo entrance for free hence my reason for not having a season ticket untill 1973
Mine was a 4-2 win at home to Port Vale, if I remember correctly Quinn and Johnson grapped one each and SKP a brace. Btw well done on finishing your AS's, I'm about to start my A2 exams in a few weeks, so much harder.
i'm a bit like syd on this one, i can't really remember, but living 5 mins from the ground and having a dad who is safc mad, it started young, guessing around the season after we won the cup, as he never shuts up about it, and many of the family worked at the ground, so i always had free tickets
