Looks strong and powerful with an eye for goal... think he would be class in the PL

without him though, i still like the look of this

    >>>>>>Krul
    SIMMO SAYLOR COLLO JOSE

    >>>TIOTE BARTON
    >>>>>>CABAYE
    BEN ARFA MARVEUX
    >>>>>>>BA

I would ply that as of now, with HBA CABAYE and MARV rotating across the pitch, think with those 3 playing very fluid and unfixed to a flank they could tear people apart..

still would love n'zogbia but dont think MA will fork out for him

I dont care what u think of my post by the way

    Agree. <ok>

Rondon I like but I'm not sure we'll get him(I'm Venezuelan). Malaga don't need the money because of there owners & there have been reports he will get a new long-term contract with them. But yeah in general I like the looks of him. Big, strong, 6ft 2'', his style of play seems perfect for the EPL, good heading ability, decent pace, good agility, good finisher & still pretty young. <ok>

That looks a good team, epecilly as we could switch easily between a defensive 4-5-1 to a more attacking 4-1-2-3.

    I'd play:

    --------------Krul-------------
    Simmo--Saylor--Collo--Jose
    --------------Tiote------------
    -------Barton---Cabaye-----
    HBA------------------Marvel
    --------------Ba------------

Subs: Harper, Willo, Ferguson, Gosling, Jonas, Best, Guthrie/Ranger.

And yes, Rondon would be great, but:

    1. Malaga don't need to sell
    2. He's getting a new contract
    3. MA won't fork out the cash to sign him
    4. He doesn't play in the French League.

Aren't Malaga the Man City of La Liga? They seem to have made some decent signings lately

Yeah, I think they got bought by some rich Arabs, like PSG.

Why can't one of them buy us?

We're after a smaller striker to play off Ba like Erdinc or Long so unfortunately I cant see us going for Rondon, good as he sounds. 1 LB and 1 striker though, and I'll be very happy with the squad (cover/competition RB as well if MA's willing to get a better player than Perch).

    Krul
    Simpson Taylor Colo Enrique*
    Cabaye Tiote
    Barton Ben Arfa Jonas
    Ba

    GK options: Harper, Forster
DEF options: Williamson, Kadar, Perch* <doh>, Raylor, Ferguson and hopefully N. Taylor
MID options: Guthrie, Gosling, Marveaux, Smith*, Raylor, Ferguson, Vuckic
FWD options: Shola, Lover, Best*, Ranger*

*Included them as they havent left yet and we'll probably still have a couple of them by the time the new season starts.

I think its pretty pointless speculating on Rondon to be honest. With the new owners, Malaga are going places. Theyre hardly going to sell anyone like this.

Im just glad Carlton Cole is off to Stoke so we dont have to listen to those rumours any more though. Slightly worried about Bendtner... but think his ego and demands will be the stop there. Depending on how many other strikers Arsenal go for, i'd love to have Vela or Chamakh here.

Vela's a decent shout. Wanted us to go in for him in January when Brom did. He woulda been good then, dunno if he's what we're after now though?

Yeah, i as surprised at the West Brom move. I dont get what Arsenal have planned for him though... They dont seem to see him as a starter or even a future player. Personally i think he's fantastic and very technically gifted.

As for what we're after, im not so sure. It seems we're after a nimble striker with a lot of pace, technical ability and young. We've got the 'target men' in Ba and backed up by Ameobi, Ranger i guess if needed. Theres no real pace, since Loverman is getting on a bit now.

Guessing the ideal player would have been someone like Gameiro or Erdinc. Getting more frustrated that we're losing out on all these targets, we're obviously just not an attractive club for strikers. Gutted on the Gameiro thing especially, then settled on at least signing Erdinc. Seems Long is probably a top target now. Would fit nicely alongside Ba if need be. I'm gonna lose all hope entirely if we lose out on him too.

Actually I think Vela would be ideal now, has the build and pace to play off Ba, can score goals, is young and wouldnt exactly be demanding to start. Sign him up!

Actually, you're probably right. I also thought Vela was taller than 5ft 10, always imagined him in a Chamakh sort of build. Not sure why. He'd be a decent build to play off Ba too then. If we could pick one Arsenal striker, I'd prefer him over Bendtner definitely.

How much do we all reckon to prize him away? Wouldn't pin point him as a priority like, but if we can sneak in a cheeky cheap bid? Maybe him + cash for Jose?

Vela is a great shout! Can play off the striker, Then could play in an attacking midfield 3 behind the striker on either side or down the middle.

i think he'd be cheaper than Sturridge either way... And im still not totally sold on Sturridge, i also dont really see too much with Long either. But maybe theyre more realistic targets than throwing names around like Nolan Roux, Ideye Brown, Moussa Sow, Caicedo, Rondon, etc...

With the midfield we'll have for this season i think there'll be plenty of pace and chances created. I think we ideally need someone whos got good positioning, good for through balls, etc... Doesnt have to be a big target man.

I just want SOME striker at the end of the day. A step above Shola/Lovenkrands because Ba isnt going to be available for the entire season. Everyone knows that.
