Blimey, I didn't realise they were hiring a place especially for the trip. On a side note, why is is that Andy Hughes always manages to look such a goon?
haha, you'll be pleased to know that was after landing at the other end. (they had to put cort and morro at the back as a make-weight).
Is that the Hokey Cokey starting on the right there? Wonder if they made the nutritionally challenged gentleman pay for two seats? In all seriousness, this is how to get to a vital game 300 plus miles away fresh and raring to go, not spending six or seven hours vegetating and virtually immobile on a coach - good tactic.
So long as the player know which leg to put in when we will be all right! Seriously it is also good to see that we haven't given the game away by only taking 16 players up. Even though it might be obvious who will start there is a good number of options on that flight.
The "fat man at the front" next to CP is a golfing buddy of mine and a very, very nice man. Fortunately he has a sense of humour and texts along the lines of "did you get a row to yourself" are heading his way at this very minute. The four Guests (the not fat guy with grey hair is the Fat guy's father) paid £2500 each for the priviledge of taking the extra seats. They get a dinner and access to the dressing rooms thrown in. Incidentally, and ironically given his facial similarity to Stu's avatar, the big guy is called Stu! Yes. Really.
they must be big fans (no pun intended) to spend that much, and i'm pretty sure the fans, and more importantly the team appreciated them doing it. hopefully happens a bit more in the championship.
There certainly took enough players up there, though I can't see a 3rd keeper? Is Danny Green there, as I can't see him (a couple of players are hidden at the back)?
Great photo of me ! I told you i was going to the game. Only way to do it ! Actually, brilliant idea by the club to get 4 of us to finance the trip.
Stu - for a long time I actually thought you were my mate Stuart looking at your avatar. Its only when I realised you live in Gosport and that Stuart doesnt post on here that it was a different person. Stunning likeness. He really is a lovely guy. He runs one of our significant sponsotrs - Cannon Glass.
This is the sort of thing I would do if I were seriously minted - a one-off opportunity that would mean almost nothing to anyone who didn't support the club. Well done to these four supporters for taking their devotion to the cause to these lengths. Hope they (and us of more modest means) are richly rewarded with a thumping great win.
