At least it wasn't the door of the supporters coach !

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-stoke-staffordshire-46464948

The video shows ' only ' a few windows being smashed ! This isn't quite as inconvenient ( excuse the pun ), as what happened to our coach going to Port Vale. (( it got kicked in whilst travelling though the town centre - which resulted in the on-board 'technology' disabling the coach ! we had to walk the rest of the way - some fans missed the start of the game )).

I suspect that the 4000 Stoke fans must have paid around £40,000 to watch the game --- what's the cost of a few panes of glass - I doubt if it was 10% of the 'net receipts' -

I've never been able to understand criminal damage -- but -- has Port Vale actually made a profit from the mindless actions of another group of idiots from Staffordshire.................... brb won't be happy

It highlights several points i have historically made. Hooliganism is a social problem not just a football one, all that has happened is we have moved the problem. Thatcher took to war on lower class communities many decades back to resolve it. Based and backed by lies and media propaganda, making way for the mid-class fans, while restricting the habits of decent law abiding football supporters who are not happy to line the pockets of the billionaire money men.

Clearly Stoke-upon-Trent has it's issues, something I again highlighted after our coach got damaged. Something that was denied by Port Vale on other social media outlets, yet something we witnessed and were victim too.

Drunken lads in the Town Centre, they don't wear scarfs, so we can never really truly identify them as a genuine follower of the game, hence refer back to the first paragraph. But you are right, Port Vale are making money from mindless idiots, their behaviour was just as evident in the ground when we arrived, social outcasts using the game to demonstrate their stupidity, maybe they could just go and watch cricket or rugby, where they still allow alcohol at the seats. But my guess is these people are still prone to violence on the streets outside of any game.
