I am a big fan of the 4-4-2 formation but I think we will play 4-5-1 if we sign Ireland (or have we actually got him yet)

A lot of teams are playing this now and it works (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd (sometimes) Man City, Tottenham all play it and they are the top teams!

Ireland will bring creativity which will make us more attractive to watch. I enjoy watching us already but with a class act like Ireland in the team it will only help us further

I think when everyone is fit this could be our team. It looks very good in my eyes

    Steve Harper

Danny Simpson, Mike Williamson, Fabricio Coloccini, Jose Enrique

Joey Barton, Cheik Tiote, Kevin Nolan, Hatem Ben Arfa

    Stephen Ireland

    Andy Carroll

    SUBS
    Tim Krul
    Shola Ameobi
    Jonas Gutierrez
    Dan Gosling
    Steven Taylor
    Peter Lovenkrands
    Leon Best

It is a team which if you look at the team when we went down - this is way better!

If we bring in a striker or/and a winger on the last day then I will be very happy. If we don't, I will still be very happy

If we did, Nolan would play in Ireland's position.

I don't want to play that as it just doesn't work, 2 up front has to be the way we play. Someone has to be dropped, and on merit, it should be Gutierrez, but who would go on the left?

Ben Arfa I think would maybe play on the left. I am not sure what his best position yet. He played on the left against Everton and was outstanding, but a lot of people think maybe he could play the free role and I would probably agree with that

It depends wheter we sign another striker I think as I am not sure that Shola is better than any players in the 4-5-1 formation

Personally i see ben arfa playing down the left and nolan sitting behind carroll. ireland will just slot into the middle alongside tiote and barton out on the right.

its maybe not how i would play it but i reckon that'll be the way it goes down.

I reckon we should keep Jonas in, he does an important job for the team. No place for Ireland in my team.

Arfa is still a long way off match fitness and getting onto the pitch in a competitive match.

Until then; Jonas has free reign on the left wing.

I think that could be the team to play Fulham. I agree! Maybe Ireland on the bench with Guthrie starting

But, I think Barton will stay on right with Ireland/Guthrie in the centre
