Not having Yesil or Morgan on the bench. Poor Luis having to play the full 90 when he was so knackered. I think one of the kids would have scored one of the many chances Jose laid on for Suarez to miss. Really think Rodgers should have had the balls to have one of the kids on the bench.
We have to be cautious with youngsters. Rodgers knows them better than we do. He knows what he is doing.
A tired, traveled and then injured Suarez playing the whole game wasn't the best thing though, surely?
I personally would have had Yesil on the bench, just incase we needed to sub Suarez off but I also trust BR to use our youth properly; he's made the right decisions so far with Wisdom, Suso and Sterling.

How it came to pass aside: up front decisions are all gambles now. I think BR weighed up pros & cons & thought risking Suarez to get home win & us off and running was what he wanted. Now Suarez didn't score but his work rate takes the pressure off the likes of Sterling who did. Ifs & buts but I'd be more confident seeing a Suarezless team next match with a Sterling that's already scored than not. He looks like the type of player that will go up a level on that. Yes, it could have went wrong but it didn't ...sort of.
Going wrong is the Texas- Oklahoma red river rivalry game. Thought Yesil could have been used today and Assaidi, other than that not much else to speak of. Jones was pretty solid in goal as well btw.

Keep him on the bench give Yesil,Morga, Ngoo a go and if it isn't working then maybe bring him on. Everton is the game I most worried about but would obviously love a good result against the russians and the legend that is Eto'o.

I have to agree with this. I really couldn't care less about the Europa as we aren't going to win it - there are teams in there, like Atletico, that are much better than us. Would rather we used the competition to give youngsters like Yesil and Morgan some experience.
