Another day dawns and it takes us one day nearer normality, this bloody dead weekend behind us and looking forward to proper footy. I was thinking this morning; itââ¬â¢s all you have to do when you are in a field at 6 in the morning, waiting for the dog to have his morning ****, welcome to my world, anyway, I was thinking. Getting knocked out of the cup may be the making of our season, how badly do we need this 2 week recharge time? How badly do we need these 2 weeks for Sess and Muntari to train with the team? How badly does Henderson need 2 weeks rest? How badly do our walking wounded need a 2 week break? And how badly do our defenders need 2 weeks practice at defending? I think it was watching the dog **** that reminded me about the defending bit.
It COULD be the making of our season, but we MUST get a result against Everton and/or Arsenal. Another 15days without a game after Arsenal, we don't want the players having that time off after 5 without a win. I think we'll beat Everton, personally.
we have to brucey, must get into that will mentality. I dont think it was our defending that allowed Sours to beat us, it was Spurs will to win that put the pressure on our defence.
I agree to an extent, but the front 5 need to start killing teams off when on top, if the defence are defending a 2 goal lead then there's less pressure. I'm off to Antigua the day after Everton, so the lads need to get a result or my lass will have a very unhappy flight, they won't let us down Syd, my confidence is growing by the day.
In the words of my 6 year old gandson Brucey, it was not a lie it was just a joke, he never ever tells lies but jokes a lot. Love ya really but off out now.
Bb I agree with you about our front five; I was having a look at the conversion rate between shots (both on and off target) and goals for the other weekend’s fixture. I know that this is just a snapshot and therefore maybe not an indicator of anything I’ve ranked performance based on best shots to goals ratio; Total Number of Shots Conversion rate West Brom 16 19% Man United 11 18% Tottenham 11 18% Bolton 11 18% West Ham 18 17% Aston Vila 7 14% Wigan 8 13% Arsenal 17 12% Liverpool 13 8% Man City 13 8% Blackpool 14 7% Sunderland 16 6% Newcastle 12 0% Everton 9 0% Blackburn 4 0% Wolves 2 0%
