I would imagine that you are referring to the French Group 1 winning filly Moonlight Cloud. She’s got a lovely name for a filly but whether she will be up to Black Caviar’s class is a totally different matter!

Australian trainer Paul Messara has said that the 1/2 about BLACK CAVIAR is an insult and that if she is still that price come the day of the race people should put their houses on her! Considering on her latest start she was 1/20, he has a bit of a point!

We can be as bullish as anyone else Princess. But I still think the price is a bit on the short side. She has a lot to overcome.

Seriously Cyc?! I thought she was an absolute lock on. Our sprinters are a pretty poor bunch though would agree with the others that Moonlight Cloud is perhaps the biggest. She seems far better than the others the Aussies have sent over and they haven't done too badly. I thought she was leagues ahead of them.

It's ashame Dream Ahead was retired. We all know how difficult it is for 3yo sprinters, and he was by far the best sprinter last season, despite racing green on a few occasions. He really would of been some talent as a 4yo:biggrin:

Given the pretty good record of Australian visitors at Royal Ascot, it is no surprise that the British bookies are not giving anything away when a racemare, who is clearly substantially better than all-comers in her native land, is dispatched to demonstrate her superiority to their former masters.

Moonlight Cloud is a very nice filly; however, she will need all the conditions to be in her favour and for something to be sorely amiss with the raider from the Southern Hemisphere.

That said we all want to see just how good Black Caviar performs over here because it affords everyone the opportunity to assess her merits against our seasoned yardsticks, even if they do get put well and truly in their place.

Why is Bated Breath still being quoted? I thought he had been declared a NR.

Several have gone 5/2on and Corals have gone to 3/1on.
