Article on four four two that i noticed. Lazio stadium just about empty for this game, see link below. http://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/lazio-fans-boycott-match-protest I suppose this is one way for the fans to get their point across to the owners, not that we are likely to ever be this organised in regards to the name change. CTWD
Get yourselves fully organised, muster all your followers for Saturday, then the attendance will be only…. 23,000.
This. Unfortunately 'fans' are happy to accept short term success on the pitch in exchange for their souls. I await the days when those who stood by and did nothing have to look their children / grandchildren in the eyes when they're asked "What happened to Hull City?"
What a joke, there are a million and one things more important in life then football and a football teams name is not one of them.
So there would be no reaction in Madrid if they decided to change their name to Madrid Conquistadors or something equally daft?
He didn't say it definitely would. He said fans will accept short time success... Anything else too difficult for you to grasp you only have to ask.
Of course there would be, but i couldn't care less about Madrid and even if there was who really cares. Do you think people would complain if Tesco changed their name?
but if the vast majority support the CTID cause wouldnt it make sense to expect a near empty stadium ? ? Give it a go, see what happens , it might work
You're missing the point, even if it's long term success it makes it no better. I dont care if Hull Tigers win the Champions League, it will mean nothing to me.
No, I don't think anyone would complain if they changed their colours either, or their nickname, if they had one. I'm sure if Tesco got too expensive people would move to another shop. If they thought it was beneath them to shop at Tesco's they could go to the Leeds United of shops and buy their groceries at Harrods or Waitrose. A football club isn't a supermarket where you pick and mix. For you the name isn't important, fine. To me the name is important, it represents my community. Something Tesco will never do.
As Tesco aren't the football club I, or anyone else for that matter, have supported for 51 years, then that is a ludicrous question.
