as awfs seems to have given up on the seasoned pros with in the squad......and for the fact Plymouth are pushing for promotion......we will probably field a squad of reserves.......and get pumelled!!!!!!!!!
Well by all accounts apart from the first 15 mins at Carlisle we were really good.......now have we put two good performances in back to back that often this season? So without a back four that is regular I see a tough afternoon ahead - hope I'm wrong obviously.
I've just seen the head to head numbers and boy that's close. You have one more than us so it's only fair you let us win this one. You must know how difficult it is to predict anything in this league by now. Don't tell your Manager but the best way to ensure the points against Argyle is to score first. We rarely come back to get a draw and we haven't come back for a win in what seems several years now. Given our level of consistency after a couple of reasonable results we must be due a duff one now. I'm just never confident where this club is concerned and consider anything away from home to be a bonus.
Got a feeling in my waters that this is going to be a win for us. Just hoping that the feeling in my waters doesn't turn out to be a gall stone
Their captain sent off for 2 yellows in the 90th minute. 5 minutes added time. Hollands on Jed off. Watch us concede!!!!!!
Good match We were poor in the first half. I don't know how it was o-o at half time. Second half, and we scored an early goal - a Jed Wallace cracker !! Ryan Taylor with a good second goal, and although they pulled one back, we defended well (Dan Butler and Nyron Nosworthy in particular) and held on for the three well deserved points.
Told you what happens when we conceed first didn't I. Absolutely no plan B. I am a bit superstitious so I've given up listening on the radio and usually follow away games on the beeb site on my computer. Today because the sun was shinning I decided to stay out in the garden and put the radio on instead. Sounded like we were on top with the best chances in the first half. Second half hadn't started before we went one down and that as they say was that. I won't be listening again that's for sure. It's so tight for sixth and seventh that today could have bolloxed us. I heard there was around 17000 there today. At least the rest of the league would miss us both if we weren't there. Well done Pompey.
Imagine the hit average league attendances would take if Portsmouth and Plymouth went up, and Leyton Orient and Crawley went down
It's true though isn't it. You probably take more than we do but I think our worst away attendance this season has been around 400 on a wet and windy Tuesday night. Apart from yourselves and Exeter, which you would expect being local, our away end has had enough to fill a mini bus and large taxi from the rest pretty much. Burton on Friday, top of the league and nearly there, around 100. If that had been us or you it would have filled the away end and some.
