Lawro has predicted us to win for I think the third time in a row. FFS. This is not actually a jokey thread btw. He honestly seems to have the Indian sign over us.
Even a broken clocks right twice a day, maybe he will be on Saturday? It says a lot about how little these commentators have actually watched us that he can have any optimisum of us winning! That said (Someone who only saw MoTD highlights) we could win tomorrow COYY! Bah!
Is Payet injured? If not, I'll have him down to score a bakers dozen and Martin to be turned inside out more times that a 6 year olds school jumper.
I'm not all that far off feeling like I did when Hughton was on his last legs. I reckon about another 2-3 crushing, soul destroying defeats and I will be there. At that point you don't think there is a cats chance in hell that we will win, best to hope for was a bore draw. And if the other team scored first then you might as well of just got up and left.
Well, I'll be there too and I'll be there next season whichever league we're in, as I renewed my season ticket yesterday.
We're all entitled to our opinions and to have a good old moan when we feel it's necessary, but, supporters support their team through thick and thin, "that's real proper supporters" not ones who only turn up when the team is successful. Season tickets renewed!
I agree ILD, I even got stick recently for likening some of our supporters to plastics, but to be fair, we still filled our ground when we dropped into League 1 so we do have an awful lot of "real" supporters!
A mate of mine is giving up his season ticket (he's buying a place in Spain, so will be away for a large part of the season), so if anyone wants it, please message me. It's in the Lower N&P area Q, but I'm sure there will be the opportunity to move it in 'movers and shakers' week, which I think is in May.
I started going to watch city the season when we dropped down to league 1. I think it's good to different opinions and debate. Everything he sees things differently and I do tend to say what's in my head before thinking at times.
Yes there is a lot of "real" supporters, I recon we could get 35000 if we had the capacity? Agree that there is also a lot of glory hunters or plastics, guess it's the same at every club.
It certainly has with me over the years, but in the cold light of day we sorted out our differences, acknowledging that it was because we are both very passionate about our team!
As I've said many times - we're all fans and should be free to express our opinions without others taking umbrage!!
With the increasing costs of tickets, it's only natural - if tragic, that true fans (like me to an extent, though a long story and not relevant here ) have been / are being priced out of attending. £40-£50 is not unusual these days and at some grounds, like the Emirates, that would just about get you a programme and a pint So grounds are ripe for corporate hospitality by firms "entertaining prospective clients" such as Aviva, to take up any excess. Look at Wembley as a prime example. It's not the fans' fault that work, and therefore budget overran by millions - but they're the poor sods expected to make it right by paying through the nose for tickets
