The daily echo have run an article where gus poyet is having another dig at saints, moaning that they weren't allowed to re-arrange a match but ours with plymouth was. He couldn't be more deluded. we didnt want the plymouth game to be re-arranged and even asked for it to go ahead when their internationals werent going to be in action anyway. He is so bitter that Saints are a better club and deserved to win the league, and because we beat them fair and square at their place.

He also goes onto moan about the size of our budget compared with theirs! I know he should be jealous of us but come on, why have a go at us for having money!! He is the biggest cock in the football league, Lee Clark, 'udders boss though congratulated us on our achievement and i expect adkins would have done the same if we werent in second place. Poyet needs to get some manners and sportsmanship. Stupid Twat.

I'm more and more convinced that Poyet wanted the Saints job when Pardew left and has been miffed ever since that he wasn't considered

I really believe that this is more paper talk from the rag. How many times do they twist a word to make a headline?

Is it the way you are reading it in the echo though? Or is it the way that they have put it to cause controversy? Poyet must have known that we didn't have a say about the rearranged games. In many ways the Plymouth game was a total inconvenience. Although from their prospective changing it to a bank holiday game would have helped their finances somewhat.
As for comparing our finances to his what the ruddy heck has that got to do with things? If he wants to compare spending surely he should be having a look at Huddersfield who actually spent more this year than we did!! I think he was just selling himself for larger clubs interested perhaps in bringing him in, as he can do it without spending any money. Therefore putting himself in the shop window. I guess I'm what is called a cynic

The Echo just lifted it from the Brighton Argus who first printed the quotes yesterday.

I thought Brighton had Tony Bloom donating millions to them for the new stadium. So they are not exactly hard-up these days and have got 20,000 season tickets paid up front, that must mean £8m-£10m in cash in the Brighton account right now.

Brighton won the league fairly and deserved to do so. What's his problem? I know we beat them at theirs but managers don't hold grudges for defeats for no good reason, unless its Arsene Wenger when they get beaten by a team that doesn't stand off them and hoofs the ball into the box.

Worth noting that Brighton failed to beat Saints, Huddersfield or Bournemouth this season. The only top 6 side they did the double over was P'boro. MK Don's beat them once too.

So, they did expectionally well against the clubs in mid table and below all season, but didn't exactly stamp their authority against the other top sides.

He does come across as a total idiot. I'm sure he was delighted when Huddersfield beat his side on Saturday in the hope it kept us out of the top two. As for the Plymouth game being put back giving us an advantage. That is totally ridiculous. It meant Huddersfield could keep up with us on points and continually putting pressure on us to win (which we did). Four wins out of four in 9 days is pretty impressive.

    What an absolute plonker Rodney!!

Two managers that I had alot of respect for at the start of the season were Holloway and Poyet, but not anymore.

First Holloway showed everyone what a bad loser he is, by saying that us Saints fans should show him & his team more respect & not be disrespectful by chanting "Premier league, havig a laugh..........."

Then Poyet with his little rant in his interview after being beat by Saints, toys out of pram come to mind...

Now this silly little spat. As Beddy hinted at, he's putting himself in the shop window and saying to the "bigger" clubs, look what I can do, come & get me..

He is already making his excuses for not doing well in the Championship in the same Echo article

    <laugh><laugh>

Sad muppet Poyet, move on, get a life..

Same here. No class, either of them. Hoping we can do the double over both of them next season. Make them learn the hard way.

I had forgotten the Pratt Holloway....why did you have to remind me of him.......are Blackpool relegated yet? No, they should be, oh god forbid that they should stay up with that man at the helm. In truth I have nothing against Blackpool itself just him if ever there was a pretend manager anywhere it would be him. It is proving a little difficult for him to maintain the status quo is it not? To my knowledge he has not lost any key players has he? So why so low in the league....why so many poor results lately....answer poor management amongst other things.

I suspect that Holloway is one of those managers that has a very limited number of ways of motivating his teams. When it works, it can work well and when his team keeps winning, the players don't mind listening to him prattle on.

However, when they hit a rocky patch and look to Holloway for something different and some quality leadership, perhaps thats when he's found wanting and the players see through him.
