"My comeback has gone pretty well considering how bad the injury was, and how long the recovery process was. But I think I still need to work on a few areas before they are back to how they were: I need to improve my speed, strength and muscle mass." Valencia interview this is, got to agree with him. He needs to regain that blistering speed he had but that will come back in time.
Bleeding obvious. How many times have I told you to let the guy have a full pre season before judging him
Personally I think Valencia's getting better every game. Today he was taking players on and bursting into the box as well as he did last season. He's already improved a lot over the last few games, hopefully peaking just in time!
I love this player, his attitude is amazing and the way he has come back is just amazing. What a great player he is. Him and Nani will be a great wing combination but Nani's form has dipped after a long season. But the way Valenica has come back is just great and will cover for Nani. Valencia suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle following a challenge with Kirk Broadfoot of Rangersat Old Trafford in September. While the winger admits that the road to recovery has been tough, the ovation and support he received from the United fans has given him confidence on his return. "You do worry about that first challenge. It is a big concern," he added. "You think you will take care and tread carefully for the first few games but as soon as you are on the pitch, in the heat of the battle, you have to get stuck in. "My first big challenge was against Marseille. I went in with my left foot and it did hurt a bit, but once you are in a game you just forget about it. "My sister was in the crowd when I made my comeback against Arsenal and she said the reception I got was the sort you'd expect for David Beckham. "When you hear that sort of support it gives you extra motivation - you don't want to disappoint all those people." Many people doubted he would be the same player. But he is showing great signs and will be even better next year. He will play a major contribution to title number 19. He is a adored player and is a classic winger. Great player
new name? when would I have started this new name? today? if so why has this poster been around since march . What is sad, is that you are a banned returning poster under the name comas and then became 99 and now changed your name to mine
Hull fan in piece, always like United mainly due to the amount of youngsters that you have given us so far! Anyway i have always liked Valencia and for me if you had him fit all season you would already have the PL in the bag, he gives the strikers that bit of extra quality supply, next year with him and Nani on the wings i think other teams will be frightened. But he even puts a shift in defensively which gives you the ability to play a more attacking full back alongside him. If he gets a good pre-season behind him he will come back better than he was.
Good point. Valencia is constantly attacking, running at FB's and trying to float a cross in for someone to attack. He is ideal also at keeping attacked minded FB's in their own half rather than Utd's.
