Hi guys Thanks for taking the time to read this thread. I am currently writing a preview of the championship season for a web site called False10.com. Would just like to know how you feel about the coming season? How do you think your team will do this season? Which of your players do you think will shine this season? Which summer signing has excited you most, if any? What area does your side need strengthening? Out of ten, how likely is your manager to get the sack? Thanks for your help in advance.
*top 6 a must, top 2 hard as there are some top teams in the npower. *Marshall will do good for us as will Koran ... when he signs *Koran. *Striker needed imo * If we arn´t in the to 6 come xmas ??? 5
Would just like to know how you feel about the coming season? - Fairly confident of improvement from last season. I think will get the team playing more like a well-drilled team than a bunch of individuals. How do you think your team will do this season? - Think we will make the play-offs at least. Which of your players do you think will shine this season? - Ben Marshall. We saw what quality he has at the end of last season. I think Andy King will discover some form. Nugent & Kasper will do well again. Which summer signing has excited you most, if any? I think Vardy is an exciting signing because we don't know how well he will fair. Whitbread is a solid signing. What area does your side need strengthening? - Still think we need another wide player. Need a bit more competition at the back, although I'm happy with the first five. Any players that leave will need replacing (the Beckford rumours won't stop). Out of ten, how likely is your manager to get the sack? - I take it 10 means very highly? I'd say 2. Even if we don't get promoted, Pearson has shown is capable of putting together a team equally if not more competitive than last years, but at a fraction of the cost.
Would just like to know how you feel about the coming season? Quietly optimistic I think after the big build up and subsequent disappointment of last term. Again it looks like it will be a competitive and closely fought season. How do you think your team will do this season? I would expect us to at least challenge for the play offs and maybe a shot at the autos. On paper our side might look weaker than last year but its a more balanced team and Pearson does forge a team spirit into his sides which we lacked and has been proven to be key to success in this league. Which of your players do you think will shine this season? The one to watch is Ben Marshall. Finished last season superbly and one of those who gets you out of your seat and can make something from nothing. Either out wide or just behind the striker, this kid has quality in his boots. Which summer signing has excited you most, if any? Been a fairly low key summer for us - certainly compared to last - but I think Nigel is buying astutely and there isn't one addition that I feel doesn't improve the side. If I had to pick one then Matty James from Man Utd. Central midfield was a weak spot for us last season and he's come in with good reviews from the Man U fans and I'm hoping he can provide an edge in our engine room. What area does your side need strengthening? Some might say defence but I would like another wide man brought in. Marshall is one of the best in the league IMO but Dyer and Gallagher are, whilst good on their day, very inconsistent. They're more players to come on and change a game and I think we need a winger who can give us some consistent quality and some spark. Out of ten, how likely is your manager to get the sack? Going to sit on the fence and say 6. Our owners have shown last season that they aren't afraid to make a change and for me that happened too soon (having said that I'd rather Nigel be in charge). On the other hand, the question was put to them that if we didn't hit the ground running, what would the consequences be and the seemed to intimate that they'd realised their error and might be prepared to show more patience. Hopefully we'll be playing well enough that we don't find out! Hope that helped

While I am happy with all our signings Jamie Vardy is the only one to feel excited about. He scored goals for fun at non league but he is a unknown quantity at this level What area does your side need strengthening? I still think we need another centre half along. With Sean St. Ledger and Wes Morgan already here, Zak Whitbread has come in with a history of injuries so another centre half would help. And maybe another winger as competition for Lloyd Dyer unless Nigel sees either Martyn Waghorn or Jeff Schlupp as the answer Out of ten, how likely is your manager to get the sack? I would say 3. The owners will have learnt from their mistakes and along as the team is going in the right direction and pushing the top Nigel wont have any extra pressure from them. Nigel needs time as we change managers miles too quickly here

Plenty of stronger teams in the league. We will not get autos, but i think the most likely to go up through the play offs. Thats die to the way our manager makes us play. Which of your players do you think will shine this season? Ben Marshall. Destined for great things. Which summer signing has excited you most, if any? None. All very average and quite disapointing. We need wingers. Vardy is an interesting one though- everyone loves an unknown!! What area does your side need strengthening? Please please PLEASE some width!! Marshall is best behind the striker, Dyer is inconsistant out left and who is our RM if marshall isnt there?? Please some width!! Out of ten, how likely is your manager to get the sack? 6 - i would never sack him as he runs a club excellently in terms of his policies. But our owners have one goal.
^ Perhaps, but an honest answer to a man who wanted help. They may turn out to be good, and i imagine they will knowing Nige, but currently none of them exact me and have shown nothing other than being average championship players to date. Not saying they will be under Nige though.
How do you think your team will do this season? - Has to be mid-table on current form I think. Not feeling very optimistic Which of your players do you think will shine this season? - Ben Marshall, who is a top act, and Jeff Schlupp, if he gets enough games could be a very exciting player. Also think Nugent will be consistent as ever. Which summer signing has excited you most, if any? - Not massively overexcited by any, but Vardy has to be worth a look, and James certainly has potential if considering his age What area does your side need strengthening? - Definitely wing, if we are going to be playing such a formation. However, I'm not really a fan of wingers and would like to see more dynamic passers in the midfield. Out of ten, how likely is your manager to get the sack? - Pretty likely, judging on our history. He'll either win the league or be sacked in November. Probably 7/10 chance he'll be sacked.

Nige will have them fit and ready for the gruelling challenge ahead. How do you think your team will do this season? Better than last season is a must. Heart says Automatics, head says Play-offs. Which of your players do you think will shine this season? Ben Marshall will be the highest goalscoring/assisting midfielder next season in the nPower Championship. Mark my words. Which summer signing has excited you most, if any? Zak Whitbread has the potential to be incredible for us. Hoping he stays on the pitch rather than in the physio room. What area does your side need strengthening? An extra winger and possibly an extra CB are our main objectives in this transfer window. We could do with a better defensive midfielder though. Someone in the mould of Mikele Leigertwood. Out of ten, how likely is your manager to get the sack? Assuming 10 means he is likely to get the sack i'll go with a 3. He's not likely to be sacked. Chopping and changing gets you nowhere and our owners have realised this.
