..This is true http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2214356/Jonjo-Shelvey-set-England-up.html You can't argue that he deserves it. He has been brilliant in the games I've seen. I also would assume there will be some money in it for us.
YES! I don't get many predictions right but if he plays, that'll fulfil one I made on here when I first saw him in the first team. He's having an outstanding season, and he'll provide an important attacking edge to our currently rather soggy midfield.
He is starting to make up for his lack of pace (a slightly harsh critique IMO) by being more clever with his runs. I guess it helps he plays day in day out with Stevie G. Will be very proud if this story is true.
I don't watch much Premier League or read the Daily Malice, but am I missing something completely here? Liverpool are in 14th, with 6 points from 7 matches. Would he not need to be head and shoulders the best player on the team (given the hype surrounding Sterling, I guess that's probably not the case) to get in the England team? Or do the 13 clubs ahead of them just not have any English midfielders. Best of luck to him if he does get the call-up, mind. Anyway, Mary, how could you not get excited about the match. England v San Marino... it's the stuff dreams are made of.
I'll watch it if it's on and it doesn't clash with Ireland getting thrashed. Or if I don't find a place that will show the Ireland one. England - San Marino is bound to be much more exciting than the pioneering Scottish 4-6-0 formation. Great news that he's been called up. Pay up Liverpool.
Does this mean cafc get a few quid? I thought the deal was awful in the first place. Not a sniff of the loan players which was what we were promised and so it seems not a sodding penny for an England cap. [/LEFT]
Nice one. I remember San Marino a few years ago. I was in the Alcatraz bar with a bunch of Irish lads (The Alc is one of those pubs with eight tellies showin five different matches). When I walked in, England were losing 1-0 and though they went on to win 7-1, Norway went through on the back of a 14-0 win in Oslo. Ireland went on to the finals in the USA on account of themselves and Spain both winning. Good night out but unusual to see England win 7-1 and be sad. Still, judging by recent games with Andorra, this'll probably an exciting 2-0 win. What time's kick off?
England match is 8pm BST and England will hammer them. Andorra match was a while ago - they've thumped Moldova since then. I never understand why it's either a feast or a famine with England fans.

Yes, but the international has to be played on the Moon against an Inter-Galactic All-Stars XI... After their hinting that there was possibly a slight lack of funds available during the last transfer window, I think that if we were due any money, it would come to us very, very slowly.
