But, today could be a bad day for Titus but a very good day for Sunderland and our season. On Monday I think we had the players and the skill, what we lacked for the fight and the, well the **** it, lets show the bastards. Crap performance and loads of flack, should bring team together. Now we get Titus in bother and more flack, tighter bond with those left. We surely will see a Titus free defence on Saturday, time for the 4 picked to say lets show the bastards. I think today will either make or break our season, already we see visitors to our board, some genuine, some to gloat, it makes me want to stand with my fellow fans and say lets show the bastards. It must make the two teams, Short,Quinn and Bruce and the players, feel the same. But like I say, I may be wrong.
Makes the folly of selling Anton even more foolish now. I hope Turner is fit enough. Agree about innocent until proven guilty but yet can't stop thinking this isn't the first time he has been in this position is it? Is he just unlucky , or lucky he hasn't been collared more times?
The last time Turner had an outing I thought he looked finished...I hope to God Im proved wrong though..
Raw. It's not fair to chuck young Laing in is it? Turner has to be fit or we will have elmo at right back. I really don't want to think about that.
I'd love to be optimistic but I suspect the squad isn't strong enough to accomodate a premier league campaign. On the brightside we don't have a cup run to worry about, except the FA cup haha. If we lose O'Shea and Brown I can see a total disaster... I'm sure the 4.5 million for Ferdinand was well worth it in the big scheme of things.
How dare you boys clutter this board up with football chat?! It's an outrage....Syd has clearly lost the confidence of the board Syd OUT! Get Laing in....why not? It's not like we have huge amounts of choice! Stick richardson on the left wing and play Nik and Ji from the start.
Agree, if/when we get injuries in the back line we could/will be in bother. The sale of Ferdinand puzzled me and now could prove to be a disaster.
If no evidence is found (of sexual assault) the i would say unlucky. How many girls would jump at a chance to accuse Titus and get some money from him? too many imo - they see pro footballer and they see £££. Possession of drugs? that one is simple, either he had some on him or he didnt - nobody stands to gain by planting it on him (unless he has made a proper enemy somewhere who wants to frame him...). blood test to see if he has been taking any could be done as well (by the club and/or police)
I just think if we chuck the young lad Laing in and he has a mare or makes an error leading to a goal or something, with the importance of the game now, it wouldnt be fair imo. Better we play Turner half fit maybe and let him take the bollockings instead of a young kid.
maybe my 3-5-2 will have to be used after all lol We still have Kilgallon dont we, who can play in the center or LB, and Nos, shore up the center with O`Shea/Brown nd have Nos on the right (until Bardsley is back) and Richardson (dont like him there but ...) or Kilgallon. And use Laing as a sub, bring him in gradually. PS: not ideal i know, but if Turner is still out, what else can we do.
The way I see it is he's been arrested on suspicion of rape and the drugs have been found during the arrest. Innocent until proven guilty on the sexual assault but he could be bang to rights for the drugs. I'm sure his contract will have a termination clause that covers the above. Think he might have played his last game for Sunderland
Turner is an awful footballer. (hoof and panic, panic and hoof) If he plays, hope that Brown can bring something out of him that he has failed to show so far.
Angeleri? How has our season started so badly we are considering an Argentinian reject or an unproven youth player despite making 10 new signings? Shocking.
Excactly, I can't say too much but I know someone who is going through hell at the moment having been accused of something they did not do, it will all come out in court but at the moment the press are reporting what they think will sell papers.
