but the thing that seems to be missing on not606 is the banter between us, not the wuming but the banter.

When you lose to Stoke or we lose to you then yes, we get the expected wind ups but what about the good natured banter. On the Sunderland board we get a Newcastle fan you will never have heard of, he never comes on the Newcastle board but thats it.

In the old 606 days we had regular visits, they usually turned into wind ups but gentle ones built around good banter and debate. I know in coming on here I will get the odd idiot telling me to **** off and you may get the same but when did we let the idiots stop us.

It may just be how it is now but I'm not sure why.

    Morning Syd.

Preparing to watch us on MOTD, didnt do it last night on the Guinness.

Over the last few week's I have noticed that we dont get the visit from Sunderland fan's liked we used to.

As you have said banter is missing and both teams have idiots who just want to abuse the other fans.

morning barnaby, bit of a chill in Durham today. I mis the banter, its so easy to jump in and laugh at the other side when things have gone wrong and thats OK, all part of footy but its nice to have some proper banter.

How long have we waited to see both teams fighting for top half finishes, I know you had a bad day yesterday but still think you will end up in the top 12, not bad first season back. I think the future is looking good for us both providing the Bent and Carroll cash is invested wisely.

Talking about Mr Carroll, just have that nasty feeling about him today, they always come back to haunt.

BTW, this will sound like a, I know a man, but watching my 6 year old grandson at Ferns Park yesterday and talking to a Newcastle fan I know who is in with Harper. He said Carroll did not wnat to go but was forced out, no surprise there. He does not look like a happy boy to me at Liverpool.

I blame that big moon last night.

Maybe I should blame that for the debacle yesterday.

I went for a draw yesterday, egg on face again.

We are making hard work of getting the point's we need to stay up.

I have no beef with Carroll and he will be a handfull today for Bramble and co.

I see you Chairman spending the money from Bent sale wisely, I see our money going on 19 black.

    Morning Syd, how's it hangin?

I was also thinking there's not much banter these days, it's a great pity.

Must confess I've been very busy lately so not spending as much time as I used to on the forum, however I do miss the old 606.
I think I may have a little wander onto the Sunderland board later and offer some pearls of wisdom to the uneducated..:)

    Good luck today.

I take it your referring to the bigdownunder chap who is rarely on this board.

I do miss the way banter was done on 606 but the mods made it all more difficult to do anything.

Good luck today but I think Carroll will be up for this one.

You've hit the nail on the head there Syd. The craic has gone between our goodselves. Unfortunately we have our idiots on both sides which spoil it for the majority. Mind you, I was on your board last night and called one of your persuasion a tw@t, which I don't suppose helps matters. I blame that extra can of Stella like. <ok>

I think its due to the freedom of speech we didnt have on old 606. That inspired some great wummery because you had to be clever to get past the mods, here you just get idiots who hurl abuse at other fans because they can.

I think there's your answer syd!

I've never really been one for going onto the Sunderland boards but I like a good bit of debate (even if it does have the odd undertone of wummery involved). To be honest though, maybe it's just because things are worryingly tight, or because it's getting to the end of the season, but does no-one else feel like it's all just a bit done?

We'd discussed who was better, who deserves England call ups, who'll finish where, who's manager was better...Don't really know what else there is to say?

Errrm...I prefer black and white stripes to red and white...Does it ever annoy you that people refer to anyone North of Darlo as 'Geordies'?....Clutching at straws....

I think some of the problem may be that you cant make 1 thread go over 2 or more forums like you could with the BBC site, so Newcastle 5 Sunderland 1 and have it on both boards at the same time, but thats just not possible with this forum software im afraid and the only place i have ever seen that on the net is BBC 606 with their own software, so not sure if there is anything you can do about that at all.
