Well, I’m really beginning to warm to Alan Pardew, http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/9388713.stm inspirational stuff. Tremendous after match comments, fair play to him. What a half time team talk from the man! According to Tiote there were objects flying in the dressing room. AP Didn’t make any changes stating “You lot got us in to this ****e, you lot go and get us out of it” Great response on the pitch and so entertaining.

So far I have liked Pardews attacking outlook on the game. One thing that we have in common with West Ham fans is that we like our attacking football and this is why Pardew was well liked at the Boleyn Ground. I hope the trend continues. I can’t criticise his time so far. I’m pretty good at reading people and when he talks I believe him.

Isn’t football brilliant, last week I was ready to give up, my optimism was shot i felt there was no ambition and nothing to look forward to at a game. Saturday taught me a lesson never to question my faith again.

You must have been suprised when Carroll left then considering Pardew guarenteed he wouldn't leave

That was a great interview I must admit.

I still believe he was part of the whole Hughton getting sacked saga, but I believe Alan Pardew will build his own relationship with players if we keep getting results.

Now, perspectives please. The last 4 premier league games, we have only taken 3 points. I don't like putting a downer on it but its true, we need at least 10 more points imo, and need to start taking results from these ****ty away games like Blackburn. Almost 5000 mags likely to be there, it would be nice to see a win.

I agree, he came into a job where he was going to be disliked by most fans and scrutinised by the rest and has been dignified in the role so far. I also like that several players have commented that his half time talk was about instilling pride and that the fans deserve better.
And maybe this is optimism at its peak but actually I believe that Pardew really was convinced Carroll wouldnt go. That or he's a great actor - the interview he gave after made him look like a broken man haha.

  5. To be honest at the start he looked like a push over. He looked almost frightened to be here, but he's grown into quite an inspirational figuire to the players, and i'm glad he bollocks them if they're ****.

Well done Mr. Pardew. He's doing a good job.

For his reaction when Tiote scored alone he scored brownie points! You could see him shouting 'YYYYEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!! COME ON!!!!!!!!'. Passion, fight, articulate and intelligent. He really does seem to be growing into the role.

That said, i never had anything against him, just liking him more now.

    I really like him!!

I think he is a genuine fella, and seems to be a decent tactician! He is doing a good job with what he has at his disposal and is managing the injury situation well!!

The players seem committed to him and hopefully in time the majority of our fans will too!!

Providing we stay up, his big test will come in the summer! if the money he is supposed to be getting is forthcoming, how he spends it and how he molds the team will no doubt dictate his status amongst the toon army!!!

but for me, its a case of so far so good!!!

    HWTL!!

i like pardew and the way he has went about the job
for me we have done very well Fulham game apart, the players application and approach to games have been refreshing, exciting and passionate.
When he gets the opportunity to bring his own players in the summer and next season will be when we can judge his reign properly
its not Alan Pardews black and white army just yet

I think Pardew said that on the assumption that Carroll wouldn't hand in a transfer request and ask to leave. The board did appear to reject numerous large bids, but once Carroll asked to leave, there wasn't much they could do.

Anyway, I like Pardew as well. He's a good PR figure, he's honest, he clearly knows his stuff when it comes to football, and he's down to earth. He's also clearly got some passion in him when it comes to the club. A lot of managers wouldn't bat an eyelid when their team scores.

I just wonder if Chris Hughton could have rollocked the players in the same way Pardew did to inspire THAT second half perfomance....i doubt it.

Dont get me wrong, i thought the way Hughton was sacked was wrong after the service he had given. On the other hand i cant say i've missed him. Yes we have dropped points with a few draws but they were all draws i would have taken before those games. The only real disappoinments in APs reign have been Fulham and spurs away, and of course stevenage.

I'm still reserving my judgement on him.

I'm neither this way, nor that way but somewhere in between. In a round about sort of way.

I think when Carroll was angling for a move that left APs original quotes redundant.

I almost agree but not quite. I think he's been quite good but I'm not sure if I like him or not. Can't say for sure really. At the end of the day I would maybe say he's neither great nor bad.

Good on him for hitting the roof at half time but at the end of the day he's just a puppet paying off his debt to Ashley, he's no Hughton :(

Genuine guy, comes accross very honest and sincere, you can visibly see his passion when we win/lose, he really wants to do well here. His man management does seem spot on, it's his tactics and dealings in the transfer market that'll make or break him. So far so good though, decent results, some good wins, he looked angry about Carroll's departure and seems to have channeled that frustration properly into his team and Saturday he got an incredible response when it looked like our entire season was crumbling. He's got some great characters in Barton and Nolan to help him out as well. Can't really fault Pardew so far to be honest.

Seems to me like he's less of a puppet than Hughton. I have a feeling that Hughton didn't really want to push against Ashley's decisions in-case he upset him and got himself the sack. I have a feeling that's probably what ended up happening anyway.

Pardew on the other hand seems to have no hesitation in explaining to the media that he's demanded such and such and Ashley has gave him his assurance. If anything, Pardew makes it seem like he's the experienced manager calling the shots and Ashley is the owner who is putting his trust in the expert to deliver the goods.

Could just be clever PR, of course.

careful, don't get used to him or he'll be out the door before you know it.

5 1/2 years of stability with any manager has got to be good for this club.
