This has been brought to my attention (Northolt, what are you playing at?). http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...Warnock-will-go-back-in-for-Peter-Crouch.html It clearly states that Fernandes has bought 20% of the club. Have I missed something? I've been corrected Northy, how could I have doubted you, just 24 hours ahead of me. I think it was just yesterday I said I should check all the other posts before commenting! Old dog, new tricks......
This was on a thread yesterday. Fernandez will make little difference to us this season, he's a Goon's crony...
if he has bought 20% and is giving us 15 mill doe's that mean the owners of the other 80% are giving us 60 million as well 75 million this season and we might be able to buy a defence or lutons strikers
I suppose it may bring Fernandes up to the spending ratio of the other shareholders over the last couple of seasons...
maybe..if he had actually been involved over the last couple of seasons... will the other owners match THIS SEASONS spending
The other possibility is that Fernandes has an option over the Goons shares, and is investing in the team now, and will make a decision whether to exercise the option at the end of the season...the upside for the Goons is that Fernandes bankrolls the team, the downside it that if the season goes tits-up, the Goons are left with a Championship side - but there's nothing to stop the Goons putting in £ in the January transfer window of course, to protect their investment. Meanwhile, the Mittals just sit on their shares and have the hump...
Yes, I'm speculating on speculation, Roller - except that the Sun's speculation seems to have more basis than other speculation (Mordy, for example) since I've heard it from more than one source. Wouldn't half mind dealing with some facts for a change...
