Just to expand on this but just goes to show we really need to start looking in the foreign market..perhaps not at this price bracket but still.

This kid is supposed to be top drawer and is moving around for a price in the same region as Jarvis or Moses (in the last year of his contract)? Also I bet his wages are a good 20k below what those two will be requesting at West Sham and Chelsea respectively.

i watched luke play for england under 16's about a year ago - he was sensational - reminded me of bale but with far more awareness than bale had at that age. i hope you can keep hold of him as he'll develop a lot quicker with saints than sitting in the reserves elsewhere

This Season could well belong to Luke, he now seems to be first choice cover for Danny Fox at Left back. I think he'll get lots of first team experience. By the end of the season I think he may well be first choice above Fox in the pecking order - his pre-season has certainly been a cracker.
