....we have let in 9 in 4 games. :emoticon-0104-surpr

These friendly games should be a run out for the defence as well as the rest of the squad.

Should we be worried about this?

Five of them against Cambridge and Colchester United! While pre-season is there for a run-out, and we've naturally been chopping and changing the side, the amount of goals we've conceded is a little worrying for me. I think it highlights our need for more support at the back. We've sold Mings and loaned out Clarke. We've got suspensions affecting a couple of our defenders for the start of the season (such as Berra) so we should be a bit concerned. Thankfully goals doesn't seem to be in short supply and we have a month left of pre season, but to realistically challenge for play-offs I think we need a right-back and cover for left-back.

    Not worried at all.
Players are naturally taking care not to get injured or push too hard before the season opener. It's about fitness and conditioning, not the result. I'm hoping for a closer game against Utrecht who are a team of similar ability. If we concede as many in the first two or three league games then I may not be so happy (unless we've won them all of course :emoticon-0102-bigsm)
