http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-Madrid-in-83-by-beating-rivals-Man-City.html ...quite inspiring. I am tired of people, be they professional pundits or friends in our own circles, saying we have no chance. We have a small chance and, just like Aberdeen, the small chance occasionally comes through! We 'only' need a draw!
Wouldn't it be fantastic if we turned up and threw everything at them - an overrun, nervy City spoilt by the massive underdogs and best of all, we don't do a Chelsea/Aberdeen v Barca/Madrid but do it emphatically and with pride. That's a very small chance in a very small chance though.... [incidentally, I'd prefer City to win the title than Man U if it's not at our expense]
Sorry, but I can't stand hearing what Sir Old Purple Nose Blotch Bloke thinks. All this **** about how the Rs have to raise their game and do his United a favour. Yeah, like his little Ashley did Derry a favour. Of course, should Rangers pull off a surprise result that hands the title to United, I'm sure SOPNBB will remember it and do the Rs a favour in one of the two fixtures next season. Because he's like that, isn't he? Maybe he'll do the Rs a favour by loaning back Macheda. Or perhaps he'll buy Taarabt at a steal. After all, he's all bonhomie and charity, isn't he? Perhaps, SOPNBB, you shouldn't have lost at Wigan, which would've left the title in your own hands and given the Rs another opportunity of survival (if Wolves were to beat the latics tomorrow). But no, you didn't. So shut up.
I have to say that, if we pull off a shock result on Sunday and both both Stoke and Sunderland win then fergie and owen coyle will both look really stupid manu don't deserve the title and bolton dont deserve to stay in the prem both teams contain cheats one a diver the other a cheating keeper, both had help from incompetant officals. Comeon you rrr'sss.
Exactly so! The point is every so often the little guy prevails against the odds. Have you never seen 'The Mighty Ducks'?! We need the football equivalent of The Flying V!!
The Mighty Ducks? Have you ever seen World War One and World War Two? Up and at 'em, that's what I say.. Give 'em some of the 'Old Blighty Spirit!' Once more over the top...Peep peep..... Charge......Lets fu*king have it!!!!
lol. OK accept your analogy better than mine but here's another point. Of course City's home record is impressive BUT they have never played a cub fighting relegation on that one game before. Similarly the pressure on them to win the title etc. Cup final indeed.Whether it's the Ducks, WW1 &2, David and Goliath etc, the Mighty Hoops must give good account of themselves. This is our (small) chance to go down in the history books of Football.
